Honestly, they never do this for FIFA… my guess is, and this is speculation, but transferring Messi was a mistake they kept in. I’ve never seen it where FIFA actively transfer players.

One thing though, if you want to play as Cristiano Ronaldo as it is edited on the team sheet, on the team selection menu you’ll have to press “triangle” for PlayStation and “y” for xbox to switch off the live rosters

So I followed all your steps and on edit teams and team sheets, I can see Ronaldo in Man Utd in the position I put him in (ST). I swapped him with Cavani. So I save all that. When I try and play in Kick Off, Cavani is still the striker and nothing has changed. Might I have missed something?

@@ollllyy So I found out from one of the other commentors, if you want the changes to take effect in kick off, then you have to press Triangle on Playstation & Y on Xbox to turn off live teams (On the team selection menu). Then the changes you made in edit teams should take effect. Not sure about on FUT or any online matches coz I don't play FIFA online. Hope this helped :-)

First you have to pick the team with ronaldo in it (I said it that way bcz you might have transfered him) then you have to score a goal and then when he is running just press x on the ps4 or the celebration button on xbox BUT press it near a teammate after goal you should make him run towards a teammate any teammate and then press x or whatever it is on xbox idk and he will do the handshake siuuu like he did with marcelo in madrid , hopefully that works for you after my essay to help you

He'll definitely not show up in seasons. To make him show up in kick off, press the triangle (PS4/PS5) to load your custom squads instead of online squads.

Unless FIFA updates, the transfer will only be available for local matches. Seasons will always use FIFA squads.

You can't play online with cr7, period. If you follow the video you can play against your friends in a friendly match using him if you did the transfer as suggested. This tutorial is a joke
