I'm totally blind, and so am not sure what all you had to do to set up the phone. You said when you get to this part, not saying which part you mean. I cannot see the screen and in the past, have appreciated your narration. In the future, could you clarify what you're seeing? I'm also wondering how accessible this is with Voiceover.

That was definitely faster than an iCloud backup. That’s so good. Long overdue but still 😋

I find it cool/interesting that Apple uses an animated 3D circle instead of a flat static image... wonder how it works

Interesting video as always Brandon! This feature is actually ported from iOS 13, I guess it's necessary because since this is the last version to support on iOS devices with 1GB of ram.

Can I start this transfer at a store then take your phones and give hone and ig will continue as I'm not connected to wifi

This is honestly dope, don’t have to use iCloud backups when I forget to backup important data, I’m definitely taking advantage of this

Brandon thank you for all the help ,i have a question will this process transfer all the data inside the application aswel? to be specific i am asking about whatsapp data because thats what iam most worried about and there is a whole lot of it in the media gallery of my whatspp application somewhere around 10GB.

Does this method require WiFi? If so, How fast is your WiFi connection that you were on? If not, is there an integrated BT feature where it would be faster to have both on/one or the other off to reduce “static” interference? $20 says the next gen will incorporate some kind of wireless charge feature and/or data transfer features.

probably a silly question but just double checking: does the old phone still have any data/photos etc. on it after the transfer or are they removed with the migration? Particularly wondering about text messages. Thanks!

Hello Brandon, I have tried transferring data from my iPhone 6 plus to 11 Pro Max couple times. Both times it failed toward the and displayed 'download incomplete' message. My 6 plus does have updated o/s. What possibly could be the problem. Was wondering if you could shed some light. Thanks

What data is copies over? Documents, notes, saved games, all settings and most important for me, music files. I have a lot of music on my phone that was uploaded from iTunes as CD rips.

But if you already have iCloud, will this have any advantages over that (other than the time taken) or it’s better to stick to the iCloud data transfer?

Hey man, I’m getting the new iPhone SE in the next week or so I’m upgrading from an iPhone 7. Keychain is enabled and I’ve done a full iCloud back up. Will all my website and app passwords transfer over to using this method oh and auto fill as I’m assuming it just makes a copy of the phone?

Well... It's a beta. If you Need it, go back to 12.4 Or wait until the app gets updated.

Hey Brandon Thanks for the video, just please mention in your video descriptions that they need to update the software on their old phone in order to be able to move over all the data. I was having a similar issue until I saw in your video that this was only introduced in iOS 12.4 and my old phone had iOS 12.1 thats why I couldnt move over the data, I updated my phone and it worked like a charm.

So I did this and after they were pairing up or whatever it brought me to a page that says “choose how you want to transfer apps and data to this iPhone” so it’s not working for me

can i do the same thing from an ios 13 device to an ios 12.4 device or not?

this is a great video. I came here wanting to transfer all my data to another iphone so I can have another iphone with all my apps backed up. I guess you could do a backup but i have found no backup software that transfers everything like an image such as this does. If you wanted to use each iphone, could you just get an extra Sim card that is pegged to your one number and use it for both iphones? Of course this would only be needed if I lost one of the phones and I still would have the same number for any apps that require my phone number for security issues. Maybe this is a crazy thing I wanted to do, but i do have an extra iphone and figured I would back up the one I use and not worry so much if it is lost or broken.

Go to settings -> general -> software update and there you can see it.

The home button of my old iPhone doesn’t work anymore,so I don’t now how i am going to be able to open my phone. Is there any other way?
