I've been doing Step 4 not as well as yourself of course! I've recently discovered the J-Turn (for practicing skiing in Switch), time to break it down starting at Step 1 Thank you!

The thousand step traverse is a better idea than the traditional thousand step turn . It is easier and therefore more easily accomplished. Thx!

is it done with both skis, or only the inside one?
Before explaining the drills, it would help to describe the mechanics of a good GS turn. This helps the learner to add meaning to the drills. This is basic learning theory.

Do not lead to much with the inside (uphill ski), as is can lead to hip dump. This can interfere with the strength and biomechanics of the turn . . . especially in regards to change in turn timing and rhythm

@@JB91710 So long as both shins stay in contact with the front of the boot . . . . If not, your advanced foot is too far forward.
