I am so glad I came across your videos! Makes it easier for me on what to show my puppy first. What do I do when my 8 week puppy is crying and howling while in her crate? Let her or take her out? I want her to get used to it.

My MS was a rescue and is about 15 weeks old. Is it too late to start this program with him? He’s great, but a bit wild!

Your videos are amazing. I wish I had seen them sooner. My puppy is 15 weeks old. Is it too late to follow your videos and if not where do I start. He knows sit very well but I can’t get him to go down. Thank you. Catherine.

Hello Catherine, thank you for watching. My recommendation is to start the playlist: How to Socialize and Train a NEW Puppy from 8 - 16 weeks and watch from Day 1 in order. Do each step with your puppy even though he is already 15 weeks old and has possibly learned some of the things I teach. There is a sequence that is layering and will help your dog learn more complex skills. Thank you for your question!

@@svccschnauzers today I have done 3 training sessions which he did much better than expected. I have never been able to get him to go down which he did straightaway and he was much calmer with treats. Normally he’s too excited with treats. He really loved it and so did I. I have ordered the same bed as you which is coming tomorrow. Can’t wait 🐶

For an 8 week old puppy a 3 - 5 minute training session several times each day is great. As the puppy grows and learns to concentrate these sessions can be longer. The puppy will cue you when they have lost the ability to concentrate. As you watch more of my videos you will see this and learn how to read these cues. Also you will see my older dogs who can work for an hour doing complex stays and recalls while other dogs are having their sessions (that takes great concentration and you build up to that over time.). Watch the videos with Redee if you want to see an example of where you are headed as a goal but it will take months of daily training to get Percy where you want him to be 😊 I'm excited to be on this journey with you!

@@svccschnauzers I’m amazed at the bad ingredients in treats. I read the ingredients on a bag of chew bones (front said healthy alternative to raw hide) and on a bag of treats and they were horrible! We grow a lot of vegetables. I told my husband I’m going to experiment with making my own. At the very least, she can have fresh carrots and dehydrated sweet potato slices.
