hi im a small salon owner and i use Square for credit card terminal payments and it offers so much not just the credit card part but also keeps track of your retail inventory ..... even if you open it and even if you only use it as a cash option it tracks everything i love it

Hi Irene! That’s a loaded question lol I will aim to do a video on this. Also I do cover this in my solo esthetician course , which I’ll be launching again soon. So keep on the look our. But I use multiple vendors for payment so i also manage this via a spreadsheet.. and all my tax questions and accounting is handled by my tax professional. You should not feel like you have to know all of that because that’s what a tax person is for!

Question about intake forms: When doing intake forms with your repeating clients, do you have them read and resign a whole new consent/medical form every visit or do you have maybe a section where they can sign or initial and date the original form each time they see you?

Working in a spa if its been about 6 months I ask to do another or every treatment I ask if there has been any changes to health medication etc and then have them sign something if it has.

Do you display the product inside? Because in case I leave I only show in the boxes without the product inside, just to be extra careful.

Tbh I started out very minimal! And as you gain clientele and make money you’ll be able to order more and see what products they gravitate towards. Depends how much you can afford too! Cuz it gets pricey. I find ordering 5-6 of each product is what works for me.
