How to actually track sales on those clicks for any affiliate link? Please

What if you are in more than one affiliate program- would you set up events for each one? Like Amazon, shareasale, etc.? If not, how would you filter to see which ones are being clicked? Also, is there a way to see what post is getting the affiliate link click- like to see what blog posts are leading to the most clicks? Thanks!

Is it possible to track the actual sales/conversions you make as an affiliate on GA4? Or can we just track clicks as shown in this video?

Thanks Julian would it work if I use pretty links plugins and use direct affiliate linjs and could I make conversion related to only page which contain affiliate links not all pages links?

no, because pretty links are not outbound links. You would need a different technique

so how does this compare to trackers like voluum and the like

With google tag manager you can add other tags like facebook pixel in addition to GA4 tag. It also provides some additional features like the ability to add events without touching the code.

I have noticed that in GA4 only 10% of the UTM parameters are being passed compared to GA Universal. As a result, in GA4 I see more referral and direct users. Would you know why this is happening please? Thanks

Tracking affiliate clicks is NOT the same as tracking conversions. You can only track conversions with affiliate programs that support a subid. I know this because I sell software that can track affiliate clicks and conversions and upload this info to GA 4. This includes page referral and commission amount. It uses the standard GA 4 e-commerce events.

yes, that would be a different tracking technique and you wouldn't need additional software for this.
