    Okay, this tennis backhand tutorial is great and all, but I tried it and ended up hitting the ball into a different zip code! Time to call NASA, I'm serving for space exploration now! 🚀🎾 😄

    Most of the fast long serves are FLAT, just speed. If you loop such serve off the bounce, your loop will never be spinny and powerful, just a weak drive which is ideal for a flat hit. To blast a powerful loop you have to step back and use your legs and torso, but this shot requires power and precision at the same time. It's a high level shot.

    I have big problems with the long FAST side spin serve with backspin to my backhand.. I'm somehow not able to block the left spin side (catching the ball on the left).. When I try to use my wrist as suggested (cocking the wirst back to gain momentum ), I always hit more the right side or only the middle of the ball so the left spin effect is strong and the ball goes out to the left .. How use the wrist and still catch the left side of the ball on the backhand and at the same time lift the backspin?? Too much to consider.. So frustrating..against pendulum serve it's easy and natural to catch the right side of the ball.. Thanks a lot

    yes! pendulum serves can be difficult to receive. My suggestion would be to forget about which side of the ball to contact, just play forward (and up) for sidespin and aim for the middle.

    What can you say about attang long serve on forehand?

    take your time on the forehand and focus on the contact. Don't try to rush through it just because it seems easier.

    What you think about half long serve? What contakt point?

  • @rationalttanalysis

    @rationalttanalysis

    6 ай бұрын

    Ideally for half long serves you will want to contact the ball above the table so you can actually go forward with your shot. If you wait for the ball to drop, not only are you at risk of breaking your racket with the edge of the table, you can only go upward with your shot, which reduces the quality of your shot.

    @@rationalttanalysis I easy make topspin against backspin, but what I must change when I make topspin against fast aggressive long push? Please, make same video about backhand) on this video player explained very detailed about wrist movement, that make great impact on hit, because all known things we known without coach) my forehand against backspin became very powerful when I change wrist movement

    The orange shirt serving person doesn't seem to be serving backspin. It looks like float or topspin. In fact, during your explanation between returning side backspin and topspin, his serves all look the same. I'm ok with mid backspin but when it's heavy, it's hard to lift it up.

  • @botao4456

    It's hard to impart a heavy backspin to a long fast server due to the nature of the serve that destroy it backward momentum. so most fast long serves are rather flat/topspin or very little backspin.

  • @rationalttanalysis

    true, if you want to serve fast, you must sacrifice spin. Alternatively, if you want to serve heavy spin, you must sacrifice speed. For long serves at the professional level, most players emphasise more on the speed to catch the opponent off guard.
