How to Tool Floral Leather Tooling Patterns - Video #1

In this video series, we will show you the complete tooling of a floral leather tooling pattern. The goal of these videos is to show you my complete tooling process when stamping leather tooling patterns.
This video covers the following tools and the order that I use them in:
-push beveler
-flower centers
-flower center liner
undercuts (4 different tool sizes small to large)
-crowners (2 different tool sizes)
There is a FREE PDF for this pattern that you are welcome to download using this link, just enter your email address to confirm access to download a copy to use so that you can follow along with us!

You. Are. Brilliant. I've been doing leather work for a little over 2 years and I'm now just getting into tooling and Carving. I'm currently using the floral craft aids from Tandy due to my lack of artistic skills 🤣. And I'm beginning to learn the function each tool. After watching this video, coming into it with some knowledge of tooling, you have made the process much easier and simpler for me. Thank you. That's why you are a legend

I truly appreciate your detailed explanation Don, Your videos are the first formal education I’ve ever received. Your use of the under-cut tool was a huge revelation, amongst other things, I always wondered how Leather craftsman could make, and bevel those perfect tight radii. Your patience and detailed explanation is a gift to those of us that are rookies in this craft, but have a passion to learn and get better. Much obliged.
