I only use the methods I show.
Do you just have rubber bands in all the time?
@CharlesYamabe

Yeah I’ve pretty much had them in for around 20 years. I switch them out of course but it’s keep them in to make my maintenance easier
Charles, PLEASE HELP! I’ve been trying to do my fiancé’s hair. They never taught us this in beauty school. I’ve been using the crochet hook to tighten his roots and it’s not working! I feel terrible. We are getting married this year and I want to fix it ASAP!! As I’m watching this, is this all you do? No crochet hook at all? I’ll try rubber bands as well. If I could (and if you lived close) I would pay you to do it for him!

Palm rolling does absolutely nothing to my locks - they're SO damn frizzy. They didn't use to be like this until I went grey!

I’ve heard that can happen. Apparently hair can become more wispy and wild as it goes grey.
Don't like how you can see the scalp patterns

Neither do I, it's dreadlocks, it's not meant to be perfect
This seems like a lot of extra work. Why can’t you just interlock your hair or palm roll it to loc the new growth?
@CharlesYamabe

LocsLuv 90 it’s actually not that much work. It also forms cleaner dreads with less maintenance in the long run.

Charles Yamabe Oh okay. I’m wondering if this technique would work on my hair type. I’m a Black American and would consider this if it will benefit me in my loc journey. It seems like texture rubbing against texture would surely be detrimental to the health of my hair though 🤔

I’ll still try it out. But I’m still very apprehensive. Your hair does look like straight European hair. I’m just not sure if I’ll have the desired results. 😂😂😂😂😂

LocsLuv 90 I have really wavy hair.
Why do you have/ allot of people use the rubber bands at roots
@CharlesYamabe

Heather because for me it holds the dreads together longer. It keeps them tidy and it’s less maintenance.
Dude dreads are not supposed to pretty. Come on man..

Do you even have dreads? If so I would LOVE to see them. Who says dreads shouldn’t be pretty? I mean if you’re going for the natural white guy hippie look then I suppose you’re correct. However plenty of people have very pretty dreads. I’m not sure why anyone would not want to look good? Why walk around with a mess on your head?

I agree, they're not meant to be perfect like this and the point of them is not to have to keep doing stuff to your hair
Looks arent everything. That's terrible for your locs
