Man I’ve watched you for years and your content is the best! All this information for welders for free. I’ve learned several tips from you my friend. I still struggle with aluminum, even though it looks good when I weld aluminum I’m still not happy with it like when I will steal and I see a beautiful stack of dimes. Can you post a new video of some aluminum tig tips and tricks? Thank you sir

I’m brand new to tig welding. At 63 I’m too old to start learning a new art but I’m doing it anyway. I’d like to see some basics like holding the torch, proper arm rest, wire feed hand techniques, pedal control. Stuff that is seconded nature to a pro but the beginner needs to know. My 2 cents.

Your vids are very instructional, in an easy to understand lecture/practice format. I learned welding in '91/'92, after being laid off from Pan Am. The only form I learned that I can't use now is TIG. Turns out I have a tremor with genetic origin, so I literally can't hold the torch steady to do those lovely "stacked dimes" beads.

I have the prime weld 200 and it has a lift tig with no finger switch or foot pedal. Videos on tig welding without those auxillary parts and how to achieve close to or the same results as when a foot pedal or finger switch is available would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Jody, can you do a video simulating some of the various aspects of welded bike frame construction? Stuff like thin wall tube to thicker wall tube(main tubes to bottom bracket shell), plate slotted into small dia tube(dropouts) etc. I am hoping for aluminum, chromo and ti. I am looking to get into building bikes and I am familiar with steel brazing, but would like to know what kind of welder I should get since that is important to me as well. I have wanted to learn welding for a long time and your videos are inspiring me to make it happen.

Whats the difference between types of Tungsten and where and when do you use the different types? In welding school and so far I just use 2% thoriated red for Carbon and E3 Purple for aluminum, but it seem u can use 2% Lanthanated on Carbon, alum, and Stainless. wondering whats the difference, also theres like the lime green one too which I heard is good for thin sheet metal idk

when I try to dab and move like that on stainless, the puddle opens towards the tip of the tungsten. like, im dabbing and then with each dab, the weld seam isn't consistent, each scale of weld is crooked to the left, one to the right, one to the back of the puddle. I can see it happening in real time.. if anyone understands what I said, can I plz get an explanation to what is happening there? it feels like too much heat is accumulating at the point of the weld so the puddle just expands itself. but no matter what I do I can never dab and move like this and get a consistent weld seam. I really wish to improve but it doesn't work for me!!!
