As an angler of some considerable years you just know when you see a fly that it's going to be a runner. This fly is one such as this! I had watched a number of Cory's videos on nymphing and he often referenced this fly in them. So I looked it up and decided to add the fly to my own boxes in various weight sizes. #14 down to #18. I am determined to up my river game when the opportunity presents itself and must make more of an effort to get on running water.

Great fly and Cory is the man when it comes to nymphing. He really explains things well. I’ve learned a lot from him. I love a good jack Daniel’s 🥃

Thanks Cory and keep up the brilliant videos.
I almost expected this one as a wee double with ice dubbing. 😂 Seriously patterns like this especially in the smaller sizes not only attract interest from trout and grayling. Often they tempt the larger and more established fish. With roach, dace, chub even barbel as bonus sport.

I would bet money on this fly.
Lindsay great job brother! I would have never thought of coloring the thread like that to creat the illusion of ribbing!

A very clever idea for sure.
I am in the US. SE PA to be exact. I can attest to this fly. It works in different sizes and weights. My favorite is a 16 with a slightly heavier bead than normal. I tied this up after seeing Cory tie it. Been watching and learning from his channel for a while now, just like i do here. Cheers!
