Thanks so much for this series! Is there a reason why you didn't cross the streams when tying the first knot? In your previous video you mentioned to always cross them so was just wondering? :)

Can you do an interrupted but locking stitch? So that they are separated by knots so if one breaks it doesnt unravel BUT you lock them together so you dont have to cut and start over for every stitch?

I am a law school student, but love medicine. Glad I found ur channel. Anyways, do you have any videos talking about how they disinfect different wounds before suturing? Do they always use the brown stuff?

You wash the wound with Normal Saline and then apply Pyodine as an antiseptic unless the patient is diabetic then you use hydrogen peroxide instead of pyodine

Loved all ur previous videos doc ❤️. But this video is really troublesome bcoz it is very very difficult atleast to see the thread. For few students who actually have not much previous knowledge it is difficult to understand without noticing what's happening. Hope u redo the video with a brighter suture material.

Please can you redo the video with darker/black/thicker thread...it’s too hard to see with the light blue. Very nice video though.

Can you alternate between a running and a locking suture? If the wound is large and trying to achieve hemostasis quickly, but you worry that the site may dehisce, would it be appropriate to throw something like 5:1 running to locking sutures?

Agreed with other comments and want to ad mine to it to motivate you to update and improve because I find you to be an engaging and knowledgeable teacher. The video needs improved close ups as I lost the thread and slow down your tie off movements and really all of your movements so that a layman like myself can follow. Clearly you are a pro and extremely knowledgeable but with tutorials, a little “dumbing” it down is essential for building and keeping a following.
