Perfect timing before my surgery rotation 😁
Please use black thread, easier to see.
Love the tips and tricks thrown in! Often the smallest things can make the biggest difference!
Thanks for these tutorials and for making it fun and attainable!
Interesting aspects of different stitches Merci Beaucoup for sharing this amazing technique of different stitches❣
You’re doing a great job doc
Thanks for showing me my fishing tie knots again!!!!!
Thanks so much for this series! Is there a reason why you didn't cross the streams when tying the first knot? In your previous video you mentioned to always cross them so was just wondering? :)
This video is good
Can you do an interrupted but locking stitch? So that they are separated by knots so if one breaks it doesnt unravel BUT you lock them together so you dont have to cut and start over for every stitch?
I am a law school student, but love medicine. Glad I found ur channel. Anyways, do you have any videos talking about how they disinfect different wounds before suturing? Do they always use the brown stuff?

You wash the wound with Normal Saline and then apply Pyodine as an antiseptic unless the patient is diabetic then you use hydrogen peroxide instead of pyodine
What are some examples of high tension wounds to use horizontal matress over simple suture?
What stitch should I try on the wide "wound"?
How important is the correct placement of the stitches?? How regular should they be??
Loved all ur previous videos doc ❤️. But this video is really troublesome bcoz it is very very difficult atleast to see the thread. For few students who actually have not much previous knowledge it is difficult to understand without noticing what's happening. Hope u redo the video with a brighter suture material.
Please can you redo the video with darker/black/thicker thread...it’s too hard to see with the light blue. Very nice video though.
To gain control of this art u have to master these maneuvors 1.palming of the driver 2.ringing of the driver 3.sometimes be able to take bites with tooth or brownadson this thing will help u further 4 microsurgical grips and plzzzzz dr.buck parker someday when u r free make a viedeo about aberdeen knot

learn how to unhook a fish and you will learn this!!!!
Can you alternate between a running and a locking suture? If the wound is large and trying to achieve hemostasis quickly, but you worry that the site may dehisce, would it be appropriate to throw something like 5:1 running to locking sutures?
I just do a truckers hitch. Lmao or fishing knot. Lol. Good vid again !

Hi doc. I understand something from ur pre😅s
Yeah Doc, wrong color, couldn't see anything but the needle and your hands making magical motions above the pad😄 Excellent series! Appreciate the information greatly.
It wasn’t that long ago that I was the pt with a scalp lac that was bleeding to death lol. A shit load of stiches and a few units of blood and all was better.
why are these needles so big? i tried to stich cut i had closed and it just started bleeding perfusely. I used the smallest 0/7 needle i had. how do u know what is the appropriate size?
Wanting to learn as a citizen the thread should have had color so as to be seen in the process
What’s the best way to study surgical medicine as a foreman commercial plumber In Alaska?I want to start the long journey to become a surgeon while supporting four children and my stay at home wife. My current job pays well but I cannot afford to quit. I Want to take the first step. Is it online? I work harder than everyone I know and can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Looking for advice from a real professional. Thanks. -Aaron
10:26 Houston we've lost the mic!
would have done colored to see a little better
Looks like your just waving your hands around because the line is to light..a lot of people watch these on their phones so the suture needs to be a darker color I love your videos so you're awesome

Agreed with other comments and want to ad mine to it to motivate you to update and improve because I find you to be an engaging and knowledgeable teacher. The video needs improved close ups as I lost the thread and slow down your tie off movements and really all of your movements so that a layman like myself can follow. Clearly you are a pro and extremely knowledgeable but with tutorials, a little “dumbing” it down is essential for building and keeping a following.

Great tips and tricks. But leave personal/politics out of it. We come here for your medical knowledge not your political leanings.
