HOW TO TIE DOUBLE MICRO ASSIST HOOKS | CLEAN, EASY AND CONSISTENT
Subscribe AND CLICK THE BELL ►: bit.ly/thefishingkit
There is no doubt on the effectivity and lethality of micro jigs, especially in highly pressured areas - the biggest problem I have with them is also one of the factors of its success - the assist hooks.
Most times, especially for us here, we target fish that are not the intended target for these in their native country of Japan.
So it goes without saying that most of the hardware it comes with will not hold the fish I am looking for - replacement hooks don't work because they are direct replacements - the only option is to make your own assist hooks.
The problem with making your own micro jigging assist hooks is the size...of everything is against you - as an adult, you are by default already on the losing end with the size of the hooks and materials in making them.
This video details a method I use to make micro jigging assist hooks easily and consistently - use this method to make things easier and stay consistent in making these mini sized assist hooks. Upgrading the hooks to strong hooks ensure these assist hooks will
catch bigger fish if you are hunting them with micro jigs.

Thanks Kit. I didnt realize i can tie this type of eyeless hook using a knot instead of having to pierce through the assist cord. Very clean 👌

Hi there Kit, Thanks so much for yet another fantastic practical and well delivered session. Mate, do you have experience or comment on the Little Jack lure range?.

Little Jack lures are nice, I have used some of their lures and have had success on them.

the vise is a Griffin Enterprises Montana Mongoose. you can google the name to know more about it.
Hey Kit, are you tying your main line to the split ring? If you wanted to give the lure more action to entice finicky fish would you add a barrel swivel?
@TheFishingKit

I put swivels or solid rings, depends on the situation - search the channel for the video on connection points - i discuss this at length in that video.
Do you have a video on the tools you use?

in this video, I used 100lb braided fishing line that was left over from spooling one of my reels.

there are proper cords you can use made out of the same material, or kevlar. worse you can use is paracord....dont use that. @@oflackopr708
Surprised on the Jigpara mini irons how easily the finish gets dinged up on the rocks. Disappointed with the lack of durability in that area.

if you throw any painted lure on the rocks, they will get digged up. not just jigpara. end of the day they are still made of lead and that metal is soft. Try a spoon or a cast master - those don't digged easy.

@@TheFishingKit yes the vast majority of my fishing involves at least some rocks(on a jetty, many rocks) kastmasters cost less for this kind of surface wear.

yea...might be a better way - and they are also effective for some fish.

There's a video doing a simple version of this in the channel, David. I think if you don't see that one, this would would be hard to start with - if you haven't tied an assist hook yet, this is not the type to start with.
I am new on your channel. I want to make this for myself so can you help me

Hi Zayad, this is why i made the video, so people like you can follow the instructions.
When you tie a knot make it clear because your hand is covering it or you tie it away from the camera

exactly which part - this is important so I would be aware of this and fix it in the next videos.
