Am I right in seeing that unlike the hair rig the hook link is being being pushed through the front to back at the start, rather than back to front. What is the reason for this?

I thought I'd commented this elsewhere but can't find it now. What I would find really useful would be a video detailing exactly what people need to buy, parts wise, to start making rigs. Maybe a few different levels. A beginner kit. What to add later on, and stuff they are unlikely to need. Most people are fishing in a limited budget, especially at the moment, and terminal tackle components are expensive, so it would be really useful for someone to make a video to help us relative noobs not waste a load of cash on stuff that's not going to be useful. I love your videos. I think I've watched every minute of all of them and always look forward to your new content coming out, so thankyou and keep up the good work.

Good one Carl. I’ve used the stiff hinge for years. As you say it’s great for confidence as tangles are super rare and generally you don’t get many hook pulls with this set up.

  • @theohastings2118

I think you can glug plastic corn but make sure the liquid your using is quite thin, as that penetrates into the bait much better than a thick liquid. This can be in the form of bait sprays, which are available from many bait companies, but also if generally the glug your using is thin then you should be fine. Hope this helps!
