In case you use the same paracord for the loop, without cutting, you get a selftightening knot. If it is any good? I have no idea. It appears to be ok.

How long do you make the piece for the bead?
@yarnsrj
4 жыл бұрын
I would recommend cutting a length about 8 inches or longer so you can comfortably work the loops. If you cut too short, you're not gonna be able to do all the in and out between the loops. Since you're only working with one end of cord to make the Bead, me personally, I don't cut any length off. I just extend a length of cord from my bundle and work from that end. After I finish making the Bead, then I cut the finished Bead off. Just because I don't like having a lot of wasted cord. I also prefer to make my Beads prior to cutting because if I decide to incorporate the Bead into another project, then I can cut the necessary length at that point.

It is not to be trusted . in case u want to hang a waterbottle to ur backpack u need three different ones to attach the bottle. Top bottom and middle (of the bottle) it looks a bit weird but it works

OK, today I made the peace with myself, admitting that my paracord weaving capabilities won't go any further than the snake knot for key fobs and knife lanyards... I've tried, I really tried this ranger know and more importantly - the diamond knot that I wanted to use on a fob and lanyard end.. I can't do it. I tried more times than I would like to admit here and the result seems to elude me... Bummer...

I had to watch 4 different tutorials to make it happen. Bored paracord helped a lot bcoz he preserves a loop which you pull in the end. Also he explains that you must go around the "legs" of this loop with your last two strands, (which go from under and up through the "diamond".
