    And what we call the blood knot is used to join two separate lines together, such as adding a fluorocarbon leader to braid.

    Great videos guys. One of the things i struggled with when i first started fishing was tying knots. I am a self taught angler, i relied heavily on magazine articles back 25 years ago. These Videos must really help anyone who is unsure or just not (excuse the pun) confident with their knot tying. Well done and keep up the good work.

    I ordered this to net the algae in a large pond in our backyard. kzread.infoUgkxphFK7ETiDP5G4IGsNcg7vbASDp_YfDpI The net is very sturdy and easy to maneuver in the water. The angled edges make it easier to get into the smaller spaces among the rocks. I didn't realize that the front of the net doesn't actually have a frame to it, just the sides do, but it seems to work just fine. The handle extends to various sizes, which is a great feature when I'm in areas that are tight with shrubs at the edges of the pond. I can collapse the handle so it doesn't get stuck in the bushes.

    Palomar knot is another easy to tie and useful knot to learn to connect to hooks, lures, swivels etc and can be used to tie a drop shot hook half way up your leader, I have even used it to tie wire trace then coiled the tag back up the main trace. I've met many totally clueless people in my time, including one guy who threw his entire setup and tackle box into the lake due to 3 consequtive line breaks at the hook point! lol

  • @fishingtutorials

    @fishingtutorials

    4 жыл бұрын

    The knot we used in this video works ok for us! The coating on our Korda Dark Matter braid (18lb) does not come off as we tighten it. Maybe try wetting it with saliva and easing it down gently before pulling tight? Most of the time though, we attach the end of our rigs to a swivel with a loop knot. There's a video of how we do this on our channel, called how to tie an overhand loop knot :)
