The 9W7 is basically a badged W&W9! I'm working on a video about the history of the 9W7. Hopefully I'll have it up soon.
Thanks, this video was very helpful. I've been troubleshooting an issue with my old Wheeler and Wilson D9 for a couple of days now and it turned out to be threaded wrong and also the tension needed some adjustment, thank you so much!

Looking forward to more tutorials. On this one, I see you are missing part of the 'thread controller'. At 1:26 mins the thread goes under then up and there should be an upside down U shaped wire spring as part of this piece that the thread goes into.
I have this same machine and just recently started using it, can I ask what type needles you use? , as newer needles don’t fit and I can’t find an answer
