Pink Castle Fabrics is a family business started by Brenda and Jason in February of 2011. At the beginning, "warehouse" was located in the basement of our home in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Brenda had just begun quilting, and had a hard time finding fabric she liked at prices that Jason liked. Pink Castle Fabrics opened their own brick and mortar location in June of 2013.
HUGE thank you to Pink Castle Fabrics for making these videos possible! I personally know Brenda and Jason - they are committed to offering you the best customer service no matter where you're located. OMG...perfect! Thank you so much for threading this machine...I just picked one up and all the threads came undone during the trip home and I had to rethread...with your help, I was able to do it pretty quickly! I thank you SO much!

This is very informative. I received this machine yesterday and was frustrated with it. Thank you. You are a great teacher/sales person. Just two minor notes on what I did. I gave up on threading the needle with the threader. My old-fashioned way is to wet the needle eye, then use eyebrow tweezers to put the thread through the eye (I find eyebrow tweezers get a better hold of the thread). I have two other machines with the threading zigamagig which has not worked for me. I wet the needle and not the thread. If I can’t find the needle hole, I put a white piece of paper or fabric behind the needle so that I can see it better. Another thing I did is putting the leftmost thread through the left guide plate and not the right side as shown in Page 22 of the Janome Instruction Book. Again, thank you for helping us out on learning how to operate a serger-type machine, which are not easy by far.

I have the 2000CPX. This video has helped with the threading far better than the manual. I haven't tried running the machine yet. That is the next challenge.

I love the way you get right to the point in this video! I followed your instructions for threading the 1000CPX, and the upper threads break when I sew. This is a new machine. Should the needles be changed, or, the should the tensions, or, the dealer demo threads be changed? TIA for your help. I used a muslin to test it.

Thank you so much for this! I threaded my machine with your help! I just can't figure out the needle threader tool. Mine came with a sticker on the back covering how to use it and I can't quite see what you are doing. I tried googling and a photo that looked right (of the janome needle threader) took me to a site I wish I could un-see! Argh. Anyway, thank you for this video!

  • @dihanha

I don't know if now you can hear the click, but the sound is heard when the presser foot is down. if you are threading your machine with the presser foot up you can't hear it because the tension is release.

If you can figure out the part name / number I'd check around websites that sell parts or even eBay. Worth a try. Buying secondhand can save you money but if there are parts missing it's also a risk.

Also did you contact Janome directly or authorized dealers? I don't personally have a contact with Janome but I'd imagine there has to be some way to purchase parts.
