unlike mechanical relay, SSR requires a minimum load current to switch.. so this multimeter test wont work.. you need to test with a load preferably 50/100 watt AC and a dc input

in most cases , most modern univ. instruments have around 1V output in continuity test mode which is far below what is needed to open one triac which is used inside SSR. So u can use same method but place instrument in to ohm meter if it is not autorange than chose range up to 10Kohms. It will be no reading while SSR not working and when u apply voltage at input it will read around 2Kohms what is internal resistance of photo element with resistors in serial connection.

hi.. i have a dc to dc 100A ssr.. when i test it using ur method it does not show zero resistance.. when i test it in real circuit it has a voltage drop of around 0.7v but with loads greater than 80w the supply dc voltage for the output drops fast from 12.6 to lower than 10 volts and much lower.. i already bought two of this but same result..

That's how they can confirm continty of the wires by injecting small currents

My question is why ssr operate at full load if control voltage is zero and again when output is available load remain same...
