Hi, thanks for the video. I recently put a K&N air filter on my motorcycle and unplugged the ECU during the install then the check engine light was on and gave me a P2195 error code. Any idea how to fix it? Should I just clear the error and let the ECU continue learning? Thanks!

Make sure the o2 sensor body is clean....there is tiny holes near the top where atmospheric air must enter in order for the sensor to work ...

That number is the heater it is not the O2 sensor portion. The heater only helps the O2 sensor work faster.

If dpf is off , does this sensor turn off too ?

You state that the first test "is only for the oxygen censor before the catalytic converter" (1:19) . Don't you also need to do a voltage test for the oxygen censor that's after the catalytic converter? If so is it done the same way as the one for the oxygen censor before the catalytic converter?

After the CAT everything is cleaned and the O2 should read a constant number not changing much. There is no test to verify the CAT is working. But if it does change like the front one, the CAT could be bad.

I"ve got a 2005 town and country, keep getting P0032 and 0132 codes. I"ve repleaced the 02 sensor 4 times, and recently replaced the ecm as well thinking surely that was the issue. CE light came on again. I"m completely lost. Any advice ? Faulty wiring from the sensor to the ecm ? Parts store recommended purge valve ? I"ve replaced the MAF and the map sensor, and don't think it's a fuel leak.

volvo 240 manual states the multimeter needs to have " a minimum impedance of 10 megaohms" and that "using a meter with less than 10 megaohms impedance can damage [the car's] LH control unit." i can imagine that this information may be similar to many other if not all vehicles, so my question to you is: should this at least not be discussed in your video? and how can an individual know by looking at their meter specs that their meter indeed should or should not be used in this testing? thanks in advance!

Not sure if I missed anything, but, I'm trying to measure the sensor element of my 4-pin upstream sensor. Should I measure with the engine running or not, can I have the connector disconnected to easily measure with my multimeter or does it need to be connected?

I need a straight forward answer to this question. Does the O2 sensor need to be fully connected to the vehicle to run this test? If it operates at 600F or higher I would say yes.

The O2 is always reading but it is calibrated to works best at 600 up. you can read the oxygen in a propane furnace but what good is that?

My 1987 Isuzu pup doesn’t idle and the carb is clean. It starts but if I don’t keep my foot on the gas it will die out. Would it be this, bad spark plugs or something else?

I am no carburetor expert, but the idle adjustments need to be analyzed and changed accordingly. If you you had a electronic fuel injection with a throttle body I would recommend to replace your IAC(Idle Air Control) valve and the TPS(Throttle Position Sensor).

A shop, recently replaced the upstream 02 sensor twice. After I scanned it at Autozone, the results say the sensor is having a slow response. Should I buy a more expensive 02 sensor? The car feels like it is very sluggish, and check engine light only comes on when driven / car is warmed up. I do not have a way to test the voltage.

Voltage testers can be as low as $10 usd. Will take the guessing out of battery and charging issues too. I bought a cheap o2 sensor and I believe that’s my problem. I’ll do the testing before spending good money after bad. 🍀 if you bought the more expensive and it fixed your issue please post for others benefits

not necessarily there are many other factors that can cause misfires but O2 sensors are sometimes the culprit. Since you have misfires then its probably a good idea to do other checks as well while you're at it

What's the procedure for a A/F wideband sensor ?

I have a 2004 f150 Ford. 5-2. It runs fine when it’s cool. But it’s hard to start. And when it warms up. It starts stalling and popping. And doesn’t have any power. Can anyone help me with what’s wrong please?

I installed a new o2 sensor in my car, but I still get low constant voltage of 0.4 volts when on idle. If I go to 2000 rpm it drops to less than 0.1 volts. there is almost no fluctuation. If I go back to idle it jumps to around 0.6 sometimes and back to around 0.4 volts. What can be the reason? Does it mean the ecu is already putting the maximum fuel it can put and it still not enough to make the mixture rich? How can I troubleshoot it?

It shows your car cannot control the fuel mixture. and is running lean at 0.4 and worse at o.1. When you return back to idle it runs rich a bit but not correct. O2 only read the exhaust it is not a repair if the car is broken. Read the list of lean car. conditions at 2::35

My o2 sensor stay at 2.3 volt on the rich side and it doesnt fluctuate
