How to TEST a RELAY or AUTO RELAY in an EASY way. In this basic electronics video tutorial we are going to see how we can test a 4-legged and 5-legged relay, RELAY or car relay in an easy way. We are going to do two tests, one with the digital multimeter or TESTER, we are going to see from the pins what the coil is and know what electrical resistance we have and now knowing what the coil is, the other two pins that are free are the output pins, in this case a normally open and normally closed, then we are going to do a dynamic test on the RELAYS with a 12v power supply or power source but a 12v car or auto battery can also work, we are also going to use a 12v light bulb or spotlight and to activate the coil we are going to use a second power supply or 12v power source and electrical cables to connect the electrical circuit, the first test we observe is that when applying a 12v voltage to the RELAY coil we are going to hear a click that is an indication that the RELAY may be good, if on the contrary when doing the click test it does nothing, this may indicate that the relay, RELAY or relay is damaged, it could be that the relay coil was burned, then we will connect the RELAY to the power supply, power source or car battery and we place the light bulb or focus and with this test if everything is correct and the light bulb turns on when we apply a voltage to the relay coil it already tells us that the relay is doing It worked and we can now rule it out as the problem of the breakdown, it is important to know how car relays are tested since they are responsible for many breakdowns in cars or automobiles. Es imperante el uso de un diodo en paralelo a la bobina para evitar el voltaje inverso por efecto Lenz en la bobina en DC y evitar que la corriente generada por la.bobina dañe la etapa de control o instrumentos de medición.
