One of your best yet message wise Matti! Hope you have an awesome holidays!!
Matti, thank you very much for breaking it down so well! You're absolutely right, people talk about telling a story, it usually feels so "ethereal" and as if I can't grasp it.. but you summarized it SO WELL These are my personal notes from this video: - Have 1 point / topic / journey - Think ahead and film it in a beginning/middle/end structure - Make sure you have a clear wrap/resolution - Stay present throughoug, and avoid just documenting... Thank you so much man! I'm looking forward to using these tips 💯💯💯
I always wondered where was the story in stories. Now I know. Great video!
Merry Christmas to you too. I actually found you through Peter’s channel and immediately subscribed. Been enjoying your videos ever since. Thank you for the work, cheers.
I really enjoy your videos. Especially you and Peter together; so much knowledge there. Merry Christmas and much love.

i love how you guys support each other, your outputs inspire me!
Matt, you make grear content. Absolutely love it
Loved this! Storytelling is so important. I learnt that lesson deeply recently. I sent an earlier version of my "my 2017" cinematic video to a friend, and I'd busted my butt to get it really cool looking, so I was hoping for the thumbs up. But instead he said, "yeah... It looks cool, but it's just a series of pretty shots. It doesn't tell me anything." and after I brushed my ego off the floor I decided to listen. And so I made it again. And he was SO right! Now there's a story. "My 2017" is really all about my journey of leaving my job to be a full time photographer, and sharing all the adventures I've had. Now the video means something. I'm really proud of it. Merry Christmas!!
The way you presented about the storytelling, it seems very easy to understand. Thank you so much for your sharing.
Super helpful Matti! Thanks for this. I’ve just started out and will use these tips.
This video had so much clarity and useful info. Thanks for helping me learn something new today bro!
Not every video has to have story, but it MUST be entertaining. Which is exactly what you do so well. Love your channel!

Awesome tips on how to create a story!! Loved the way this video turned out
Thank you for this video, it’s really helpful! I️ enjoy all of your videos.
I just started vlogging and while i've heard this before. I feel you explained it better than anyone else I've watch! This video definitely deserves more than 50k views. Great work bro, very encouraging and helpful!
I've been looking for something like this for a while! Thank you :) I'm loving the content you keep on putting out, including the steadycam video. I guess the part I struggle with while vlogging is sometimes you don't know how the day will go. So while you can wrap it all up at the end, getting the video started / intro is hard. Just gotta keep practicing!
Thanks for this video, I started filming loads of bits for my first vlog and it just seemed like a big miss mash of bits and no story. Love your videos
Thanks for the tips Matti! Definitely gonna focus more on planning out what my videos are about and if the story is strong enough :)
Merry Christmas thanks for the video!!!
You have no idea how happy I am that you uploaded this video! I been trying to do stories in a vlog but somehow it never worked for me. You put out some great tips and I will definitely follow this next time I vlog! Merry Christmas! 😊

Awesome video! It's funny how I have been researching online on how to tell better stories so I can improve my videos. Then you come out with this, awesome timing man! Great Video!
This reminds me of my younger days and puts a huge smile on my face! Thanks for making this man! The storytelling while filming 'How to tell a story' very Meta! That song too for the b-roll and the snowboarding sequence, HUGE fan of it!
