Never had to tame my mouse. She let me hold her within seconds, comes out as soon as she hears my voice and climbs all over me. Hasn't bit me. She's tiny, a hopper I guess. Just a few weeks old and absolutely loves to have me around ❤️

@@Tweedlededumdumthey would have to be babies, still drinking milk from their mothers, so you shouldn’t be able to buy/adopt or tame them then. The best time to socialise mice is from a very young age but taming them to trust their future owner can be successful at any age

Mice are actually crepuscullar which means that they are most active during the dawn and dusk periods.

I looked this up because our mouse trap killed the mouse that was roaming in the house and my mom was nearly in tears, she was so sad for the mouse, we thought he had left we didn't see him for a month so we were shocked to see his little body in the trap yesterday. I know every living creature deserves a chance so while I probably wouldn't keep him as a pet, maybe next time I'll just trap the mouse and take it to a field so it can live in the wild :(

I had a mice problem for over 2 months tried humane methods did not work, tried traps and poison no luck, i had enough so i used a glue trap, no many people do not like them. but they do not use them properly, it is only inhumane if you do not check, if you have a mouse. then it will just stay stuck for days and die there, you are suppose to check it every few hours, i caught the little bugger within hours of using the glue trap, i was going to release it but thinking about it. it is freezing outside the reason why it came in was for the warmth and food, so i got a cage for it and now it is my pet, it is a baby field mice.

I used a glue trap for the 1st one and felt a little bad and then used glue paper outside my apt door and caught 2 more but the 1st catch of those was truly heartbreaking 💔, these are all babies, mind you. So the next live one INSIDE my home I caught in a humane trap and decided to befriend to study and get over my fear of them-they are cute but not too fond of their movements, lol. And it can make a hassle free ESA except for cage cleaning especially since I have to do it through the cage so that it doesn’t escape.

@@Tweedlededumdum Nah I just used oil and they slide off real nice do damage done them at all. Well this is just recent, I caught a female house mouse after many months of tying to get it. I have it as a pet but it fears me, It has not tried to escape, out of the plastic storage box. It has food and water, but my male mouse picked up her sent and jumped in ands now lives with her. It is odd he once to mate but she won't allow it, this might because wild mice don't breed in captivity. But it is early days, I say it is pet but not really she won't even eat food from my hand the fear is real and deep.

@@jameswatson5807 oh mines is the same with the fear but it will allow me to touch it's paws from the cage on day 1 but now when I'm messing with stuff through the cage it will come near and push its little mouth through and ill just dab it so it doesn't try and nibble my finger but when I do too much it does get scared even if it's coming near where im cleaning or whatever....it's quite fascinating!😄

They are actually not nocturnal. I don’t remember what it’s called, but they are awake at dawn and dusk (when the sun rises and sets). And you also shouldn’t have a set time or date that they will be tamed, because all mice are different or/and more skittish then others.
