Simona,, loving your lessons and from my previous taxi experience, if I knew the way,I learnt to give the driver street by street direction, it gave us both a happy ride. Lol. Keep the good lessons coming and hope to bump into you in Beijing when I’m allowed back....

I always prefer Didi. Everything is cleared for example, rate , distance, time etc. Because many taxi drivers are scammers. They don't start price/distance meter. They cheat foreigners.

Shamail Amjad yes, didi is more convenient, you also can call taxi on didi. Sometimes taxi driver they don’t run meters, you can request them though

It's not always a dichotomy of either DiDi or taxi, you can call taxi through DiDi.
