It is quite difficult to extract a soil sample in a deeply wet submerged soil. The soil tends to slide out of the sampler or the auger. Here we propose a simple technique to extract precisely at a targetted depth in a very loose wet soil. The samples can be used to do ion concentration measurements (using for example the device RQFlex Plus 10; see our related video) for Fe2+, NO3-, SO3- -...or anaerobic/aerobic bacterial numbering or biochemical reactions products assessments.
