HOW TO TAILWHIP ON A SCOOTER | BEST WAY
Спорт
Hey Guys, I made an updated HOW TO TAILWHIP VIDEO!!!!
In this How to Tailwhip Tutorial, i'll be teaching you all the steps you need to know to learn how to tailwhip on your scooter. I have been a scooter coach for many years now, and I have learned that one of the most important tricks in scootering is learning how to tailwhip. Tailwhips are used in almost every trick that involves the deck leaving your feet. So i decided to make an updated tutorial to help give you guys the best possible tips and tricks
.
A few tailwhip Steps you’ll want to work on:
Step 1: Bunny Hop
Step 2: Lift your scooter straight in front of you and practice the whip rotation motion
Step 3: Practice the "step kick catch motion"
Step 4: Catch the deck and keep your feet together to land
.
.
Learning how to tailwhip properly on your scooter is the key to every trick that involves the deck leaving your feet
I make all kinds of How To scooter Videos Like this one, so please make sure to comment below some of the tricks that you would like to learn. I'll try to make another tutorial just like this how to tailwhip video.
.

sounds like you might need to work on getting a bit more air time to you can give your feet more time to catch the deck. i always recommend trying it out of a small bank or off a small ledge to help give you more air. also make sure you are keeping the scooter deck under you. this will make it to much easier to catch before hitting the ground

This is the best “how to tailwhip” video ever! I’m soooo close to landing one now but the only problem I’m having is that my feet land before the deck comes around. Other than that it’s an awesome strategy on how to form that muscle memory down to tailwhip!!
@ChaseRost
Жыл бұрын
yoo thank you so much!!!! and it sounds like you are super super close. you could always try to do them out of a small bank to help you have a little more air time. Also try to practice your bunny hops/ jhops on the flat ground. Try to get as high as you can. This will give you more time in the air when you try to tail whip. but the most important step to practice is the "step kick catch motion" while you are practicing this, try to make sure you are bringing your feet back onto the deck. Building up this muscle memory on ground will help you dramatically when you are in the air. your feet will eventually learn how to make its way back to the deck if you practice it enough just on the flat ground. If you still cant seem to get both feet on, You can also try keeping your feet together sometimes which will force you to get both feet on the deck when it comes around. Hope this helps, definitely let me know if you’re r still struggling at all to get your feet back on.

haha good eye! nope your not crazy, I like to ride my fork backwards. I’ve been doing it since I started scootering. It helps to minimize speed wobbles when pumping really fast and it helps for tricks like footjams. And it makes nose manuals easier since the center of gravity is lower to the ground.

One thing that really helped me to be able to control my scooter better without making my body spin too was to tighten my core. While i practiced spinning my scooter out in front of me, i would keep my core super tight. This would help keep my balance center and keep me from having to spin in circles.

This really helped a lot but! I can't get my feet back down onto the deck. Also am surprised that you don't have more subscribers even though I think you are super helpful in every detail of how to do a tail whip.

hey thanks so much! Hopefully we'll get there one day. i'm so stoked that you think my tutorial is helpful! You so got this. Make sure you are keeping your foot up and ready to catch the deck as it comes around. the most important part is to catch that deck with your back foot. once you get tat down, it's only a matter of time before you get both feet on. If you’re struggling at all with the catch, i would highly recommend focusing on the step kick catch motion and doing it a whole bunch before you send your next whip.
I finaly lernd it🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
