Excellent. Just moved my wife from an iPhone to a Pixel 8 using the cable with adapter instructions. Everything came over, even her wallpaper. It took about 40 minutes. Thank you.

Thank you so much, this is great. I searched for these videos because I had an iphone and now I'm using the s22 as my daily driver and I found people would text/call me and I never got it on my s22 unless I was getting texts from ANOTHER android (anything but iphone). Didn't realize I had left imessage and facetime on 🙄 But, I fixed it and now, hopefully, I'll receive all my texts and calls from everyone! Thanks again!

Maybe I’m not the norm, but part of the excitement for me when switching to a new phone is the clean slate. I wanna go through my contacts and only take the ones I talk to regularly. Sign in to all my apps, sure, but lose the text messages, lose the pictures, lose the screen set up I used to have, and start completely over. Obviously, I’d backup anything I want to keep on a drive (like pictures), but that doesn’t mean I’d put them on my new phone. It makes my life feel so clean when it’s stripped down to the bare essentials ☺️

I try to backup whatever’s possible and those that have the slightest difficulty in doing so, I just delete them..in my mind I’m like- we’ll see. :)

How do I add more storage? I am going from iPhone 6s 128GB (12 ios) to Samsung S21 FE 128GB. The iPhone will not let me download google cloud because iOS 12 is not an iOS 14 update. I am worried I do not have enough storage to transfer my files. I will go through some to delete but it is definitely not 128GB. This android has no MicroSD card slot either. What do others do for storage now, if no MicroSD slot for androids? I probably will have to get google cloud and google photos for storage and access it on android from the icon app...right?

I will be a first time samsung smartphone user after being with apple from the 4S. Is this the standard/best procedure for anyone in my position? Thanks

Great video, no pissing about. I have to say though that uploading to iCloud took ages, about an hour and half. I was helping a friend with transferring from an iPhone to a Samsung Z Flip 4, used the connection cable for the transfer. No problems at all. Some apps won't migrate but that's OK, just manual install on the new phone.

Are there any techniques for LG? Or would we us smart switch like Samsung?

At the start of the video you suggest to backup Contacts, Calendar and Videos & Photos from iPhone to Google Drive. Subsequently when setting up new Android, the transfer from old iPhone to new Android, you show doing that via a cable, iCloud backup or Smart switch (in case of Samsung device). Will there not be any duplicates of Contacts/Calendars/Videos & Photos in the new Android device or Google cloud during the transfer as a result of creating the initial backup of IPhone to Google Drive (the first step)? Would it not be better to exclude Contacts, Calendar and Photos & videos during the transfer if they have already been backed up from iPhone to Google Drive since the new Android device will pull that data from the Google cloud via the sync mechanism?

Do I backup iPhone then take sim out and put into Samsung? Or wait till after transfer is done?

Is it possible to use these methods to switch to a Samsung, but to use Google apps rather than Samsung apps, for example Google Photos rather than the Gallery app?

I signed in to google drive,, manu, settings, and tap on Backup... That gave me the select drive screen, I select the drive that I signed in, which gave me just information page to upgrade... In short I can not go further to backup!!!!

Didn’t work. I couldn’t log into Google drive on my iPhone. Gave me a strange QR code to scan with I phone that I can’t scan because I am using the phone. Makes no sense

Because android is better. As an iPad user I have limited stuff. Android has better keyboard and mouse support, Android doesn’t have rushed updates like IOS 15. You can’t install third party apps on IOS.

Because Android's floor = iOS' ceiling. Android gives you freedom. iOS is restricted trash and I say that as a former blind loyal iSheep of 9 long years who finally stopped drinking the Apple Cult indoctrination Kool-Aid. I've converted 6 people to Android so far and now I'm about to convert a 7th person. 👍👍👍

@@PSYCHOV3N0M Then I guess we are not friends. I too have been an Android user from 2011 until 2017. Since then I've been converting all my friend circles to migrate to iOS or Apple devices. Like last week my best friend had a Samsung for a long time and he got inspired by me to get an iPhone. Also, yesterday my classmate broke his Samsung Galaxy S10 and he is as well got listened to my advice and decided to go for an iPhone. I never felt better since migrated my devices into the Apple ecosystem. Now, I'm not saying Apple do everything good or better than anyone else. Its true Android has more freedom and more customisation than the Apple ecosystem. But you have to remember nothing can beat the Apple ecosystem and its commitment to user data protection with privacy. It may not be perfect but no other company does it like Apple. Android make money for Google with user data and they have no choice but to opt-out because nothing is free in this world. However, Apple doesn't make money by selling user data but they do charge a lot for their devices because of it. Also, I lost the count of the people that I help them to migrate to the iPhone as there were so many. 🤣
