Just ran into same issue ...need file for blank ecu programming from nissan

Question for you: Can I use the Consult software to change the VIN on a used locked ECU? I tried using my Autel Maxisys Elite with no luck.

you can change the vin but not unlock it

@@BestCarFixes So I go the pin to unlock it and was able to program the key with the Autel. You're saying I will have to use the Consult to change the VIN now? No way to do it on the Autel?
