Dr. Webb, I'm currently on 4th year rotations and doing surgery, with my same preceptor I had in my 3rd year (back in January). You have the only video I can find that appropriately explains how to throw the one handed knot and lock it while your needle is still hanging on like is the case in the O.R. every time. Thank you X100 for this video. He was a little in shock when I was able to do this with relative ease at a decent pace. Definitely feel like I can contribute more as a student when little things like this can be done, and done correctly. Keep up the great work Dr. Webb!!!!

Hi Derek. I’m no doctor but admire all medical workers. I was wondering how long it took you from your first year of medical school to get into surgery.
I found it difficult getting knots tied but when I came across your video it has taught me how to tie both one and two handed knots and now I can do both effortlessly. I'm so happy now.God bless you Dr.
Hands down best youtube video explaining hand tying so easily. Thank you!
Tying knots quickly makes you feel like a badass in the OR 😁

Know the feeling, been struggling with my shoelaces since I was a child due to my congenital amputation. It's always embarrassed me, probably the only thing I haven't been able to figure out how to do yet. Tying knots is probably the most difficult thing.
Thank’s for video, sir. U made great job👍👍👍
wow, that was amazing! and thank you for remembering the lefties.
Really appreciate the effort in this series! Thank you!
Love this video ❤
Thank you Doctor for the video Please make a video on how to prevent and overcome air knot
Yes this is great and all, but I didn't see the step where you are supposed to give Ancef. In all seriousness, I'm an IM resident that wanted to brush up on surgical knot tying for my stitches for my central lines and chest tubes on MICU rotation and this video doesn't disappoint. Thanks for everything that you do!
This is wonderful!!

Excellent job doctor. I'm a PA in Cardiovascular Surgery, can you do one on vessel tie offs and keeping the tension to divide a blood vessel without leaking. My surgeon keeps showing me, but he's always so fast.
I got slightly confused at 6:55 when practicing this on my suture kit. Did you mean right middle finger? I eventually got it though, and the video is very helpful. Thanks!
One of the best demonstration. Much needed!! Thanks a lot

question: how do left hand siders cope with knots in in the world of surgery?
I love the southern accent and that you say “hode”.. instead of hold and brung 😂 makes me feel at home. I’m from GA.. so I get it.
Best video thank you 🇩🇪🇹🇷
I'm not a surgeon, though Ive been sewing so long I bet I could stitch like a pro. I am a sewist, I was wondering if the surgeon's knot would work for tying quilts.
honestly it was so helpful thank you so much
The two hand is so confusing, I have epistomy to do tonight and I need to close the eyes well this us not working 😕 🙃
All I know is that when I was a little boy they sewed up my head after a petrified log fell on it. Vivid memories of this. I still have the scar.
