HOW TO SUCCEED Sarah Jessica Parker-Matthew Broderick-Victoria Clark
Фильм және анимация
"Been a Long Day," with Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Victoria Clark. Parker took over the role of Rosemary in the first Broadway revival of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" for a limited run in 1996; this was the only time Parker and Broderick appeared together on Broadway until the current "Plaza Suite." See SJP's solo from the same performance at • SARAH JESSICA PARKER i... and see Broderick, Clark and Megan Mullally in pro-shot numbers from this production at • HOW TO SUCCEED...'95-M... and • HOW TO SUCCEED...'95-M... and • HOW TO SUCCEED...'95-V... and • HOW TO SUCCEED...'95-M...

How wonderful! Didn’t know there was such a pristine video recording of this revival, my favorite one.
A marvellous musical ; I was lucky enough to catch this very production in San Francisco in 1996 and it blew my mind.Thank you.
How appropriate - as always you have impeccable timing! Thank you for posting this Spiderwoman!
Sing out Jessica!

She doesn’t have a show voice.
awesome! I'm playing smitty in this show right now :)
I caught it on Broadway in ‘96 while visiting from Australia, maybe I was in this audience??!!
Victoria Clark! Talk about star Power, just by chewing gum she dominates the scene
And just like that. They were married.
Do you have Grand Old Ivy from this performance
So this is how Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker met?

Actually, they had met quite some time before this, and got married shortly after this run.

@@auroraspiderwoman5886 That’s very sweet.
That's not really in SJP range huh? Where was Megan?

Megan ended her run.
I'm afraid when you've been given the original with Robert Morse and cast this falls flat. What's particularly problematic is the choreography meaning the positioning of the actors and the interaction. I'd do away with the briefcase as in the movie. This would allow Matthew to animate himself more to better illustrate his anxiety. Still, it's to be expected. It's the same circumstance when anyone attempts to perform Robert Preston's role in the Music Man.

If you're talking about positioning of people during a scene, you're referring to blocking. Choreography would be positioning during dance.

@@MeyerD584 I'm responding only to add some chatter to an otherwise boring evening. I still think the use of the word choreography is appropriate. If you go back to what I said I suggested the elimination of the briefcase so that the actors could better interact and animate. It's these terms that are in accordance with the choreography.
Gosh I must be missing something this seems painfully humourless and dull. They're not even phoning it in.

There does seem to be a strange, complete, lack of energy. Understated to the point of nonexistent.
