My mom has GORGEOUS silvet grey hair as well that started young. Most of the ladies on her side are(were) the exact same. I REALLY hope I got that gene!!!

I have an undercut with an asymmetric bob on the top and I am SO doing this hair on my next night out. Also, I think I am about 50% grey (in my 30s which I initially found depressing when I shaved the undercut in and saw just what grew out), and you've just convinced me to stop colouring it and embrace the silver. However, I'm in the awkward stage of growing it out and hate the idea of just hiding it with a hat or headband--I take pride in having funky hairstyles! Monique I love your tutorials on embracing your gray hair......Back in 2012 I participated in Cancerfreeze to help raise money....Me and 14 other ladies shaved off all our hair for that cause..I did it in memory of my beautiful Mom who was a 9 year breast cancer survivor...I made a decision I would not color my hair anymore....I am happy to say that my gray hair came back and the front is a snowy white just like my Mom's hair used to be.....I get so many compliments on my white and gray hair....Thank you for sharing your gray hair experience...I will be trying the manic panic in blue steel along with the pastelizer...I too have some issues with the white hair yellowing...Thank you for the information on that...I look forward to your videos.....:)

Thank you... Thank you... Thank you.... I’m going to make the jump and embrace my grey. I’m sporting a skunk stripe now but will be ready in a few weeks for the major cut. I grew up with very short hair so know I can sport it. But..... This time I will be mostly ALL grey. I’m going to go with the blue and think I have the skin tone for it. You are helping me get thru the trauma and bumps of the future of growing it out. Thank you so much.

I forgot to tell you I was one of the first people in NYC to sport this hairdo in 1986. I wore it long on top and extremely short and buzzed on the sides and back. Now to see it in whites and blues. Haha!

Would you please do more hair styling videos? You give me so much inspiration that even though I love my silver short hair, it's nice to change it up every now and then. Thanks for all you do. XOX Jan

Holy crap! What gorgeous hair!! If I thought my hair would look a tenth that good, I'd grow mine out. I'd say I'm about 85% silver and the rest is almost black. At 47, I'm tempted to do it!
