Thank you Marleen would love more of these little videos I am the same shape as you but my legs are very skinny no thighs or bum but a big belly and chest at 5 ft 1 its impossible to buy jeans or jeggings that fit me everything definately seems to be pear shaped in Ireland lol!!! The KZread algorithm has ‘found you’ When I first clicked on this video you sounded so 🇺🇸🇺🇸 but you are not ha ha Anyway great video for most women who live in the real world not the fake one where women are a size 8 or 10 or a 6👎👎 I’m from the West Midlands and in my 20’s I was a size 12-14 and was happy Then in my 30’s to 50’s I then put weight on - went to 16-18 At the age of 51 I lost 2 stone through stress, my late mother having Dementia, cancer and heart failure and having to finally send her to nursing home I was diagnosed in May 2023 with Over Active Thyroid This is harder to treat and there are many symptoms including weight loss I’m trying to put weight on The apple shape My legs are so thin, but I still have a stomach and have lost bust size When you have medical issue it’s so hard to gain weight I’m struggling with clothes 👍 👍 ❤️❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🌼🌼

@@ImjustmeMarleen your are in 🇮🇪 Denim 👖 has always been an issue for women for many a year and I’ve never found jeans that fit ‘well’ I’ve never been a fan of ‘skinny’ jeans. When I see ‘young girls’ wearing them they look 🤮 I don’t know if you have done a video about this subject? You are not a fruit! Your body is uniquely and wonderfully you. You don’t have to fit into a category. We don’t have to define our plus sized bodies in such a demeaning way. You never here slim people categorizing their bodies with produce. Every body is a different shape. There aren’t enough fruits on the planet to match all of the many shapes of bodies there are. You’re not an apple! You’re a gorgeous woman.

I do agree with you most of the way. Personally I don’t think it’s demeaning to be “a fruit”, on the contrary I think it helps as we have something to compare too (in shape) and often it’s easier to visualise an object than our shapes, as as you say, we are all different. I think slimmer people use the terms just as much, I just don’t think we see it simply because a slim Apple don’t look like an Apple they simply have (measurement wise) the same proportions as an Apple. It’s clear when you look at me that I am an Apple as I have the big round belly so it’s easier to see the connection. But yes, I am a woman, yes my body is amazing no matter it’s shape or size, but I see myself as an Apple shape and I personally believe many others can see the beauty in our fruits. Thank you for your input, it will be interesting to see if others will comment and where they stand on this xx

Thanks for the videos😊 I have never used a belt or elastic waist, course as I think i look pregnant, but i can see, it’s about where to place the elastic om the dress. Think I will try it. I think i look very square and shapeless when i wear the blouses over the skirt and trousers, but i have never tucked the blouse inside the trousers. Have learned that an Apple shape should never do that😞Will You please show and talk more about the correct position of the waist so as not to look pregnant. Have a femling that it is about a few cm. It looks so Good om You.

Totally agree with you Marleen, why would we class a cat as unattractive for having the shape it does, same with humans. There is no right and wrong with body shapes, we have what we have, The trick is to find clothes that work for your shape. I love all the looks on you, but love, love, love the yellow on you, the light colours so suit you. It took me so long to move to the light and bright colours, now that I am here, I would never move back. Sorry, but some of these outfits are the worst for an apple body. I think everyone should wear want they want, and you are lovely and look cute whatever you wear, but the first two are not good examples of outfits that flatter apple bodies. In pants, tapered leg trousers are the worst for apple bodies, as they only accentuate the apple shape and create the illusion of a wider waist. Wide legs and especially boot cut pants are much better. And V-necks are much better than round necks for apple bodies. That yellow outfit is the opposite of a good apple body choice, as the jacket is a boxy shape and makes the waist look wider. And in that light yellow color it only looks bigger. The wrap dress is great, and flattering for apple bodies

I agree with you. The first outfit also had dark heavy shoes which added to a a bad look and an apple shape should never wear a jacket that stops at the widest part of your stomach.
