The greatest tips for productive Bible Study, that I've ever heard, is to read one book of the Bible at a time (in a systematic fashion) and read that book repetitiously; 30, 60, or even 90 times. Repetition is your friend; repetition is your friend.

How about READ Just read WAIT for the Holy Spirit to reveal MEDITATE in what it means THINK on ways it applies to you or that you may apply it Actually APPLY Because that's what is actually scriptural and what we are commanded to do. Why study further when you are not applying? This is not a fiction novel to be studied and this is pride in thinking it is in our own intelligence when it is through Holy Spirit revelation. "For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 I highly disagree with applying such methods. It's insulting to God and His Holy Spirit.

hey love the bible study and thanks for the helpful tips, quick question off topic though, can you please tell me the name of the song you played (guitar) while you where writing please

I recently had a dream that I was in a house with my sister and our children and we were panicking for some reason to get our children out of there and as the demons were coming for us I would try and say something and they laughed at me. (I said 'in jesus blood go away') which obviously isnt even correct. I couldnt rememeber all of it and the demons laughed at me and ended up taking my children and I woke up. I thought about it and came to conclusion that God gave me that dream for a reason and that reason was that I needed to study the bible and know the word of God. Jesus couldnt even fight the devil without the word of God so who do I think I am that I can? So after that dream I had I have been trying to learn what scriptures to study, how to study, and a big one is HOW DO I TURN A SCRIPTURE INTO A PRAYER?? like how do I sort of personalize the scripture to where its as if Im speaking with God??? PLEASE HELP ANYONE PLEASE

Remember that you can ask God to help give you the right words to say. You can try seeing in what way you're trying to apply the scripture to your life, and start from there. Pick out key points from the scripture, and tell God how you feel about it. I hope this helps :)

One thing I might suggest is to look at the Psalms. Choose one and replace the words who, his, he, with I or me and pray it to God. Example Psm. 1:1, Lord, I want to be blessed so I will not walk in the counsel of the ungodly (or keep me from walking in the counsel of the ungodly). And Psm 1:3, Lord, I want to be like a tree planted by the rivers of water .... If you want something from the Old Testament, exodus 34:6, thank youLord that you are merciful, long suffering .... New Testament, look for the attributes of Jesus, and pray that you might also have those attributes, like compassion. Also, look at Pauls letters. The bible is filled with words you can pray back to God. Hope,this helps. Blessings to you.

Look up on Pintrest or KZread on how to verse mapping it along with others methods like FEAST or SOAP have helped break down Scripture a lot for me. Plus look at Kimcashtate on youtube she as well as Asheritah has been very helpful. But more than anything PRAY for God's discernment & wisdom to have the Holy Spirit to help first !!

Melanie D great question friend! I personally choose a book to start with that someone has suggested to me, my pastor is teaching on or I pick a smaller book to start with. I feel like if I start with a smaller book it’s a little easier to digest and when just starting I like to feel like I’ve simplified things and I don’t get too overwhelmed. Gift Horse, I apologize for the sarcasm from the other person. You'd think on a site that should be primarily attracting Christians that you would encounter such behavior. Anyway, and word study can be very helpful in bringing clarity and proper interpretation of Scripture passages or verses. It's very helpful to have a concordance. You can either purchase one, and most Bibles today have a concordance in the back. Although the ones that come in a Bible aren't very exhaustive. Anyway, when you run up key words, refer to the concordance. It will give you the different places in the Bible where that particular word appears. Read those verses for meaning and it helps to clarify the meaning of the word. It's very helpful and important because words during times of antiquity sometimes had different meanings than they do today. For example, the word "Repentance" is a good one to study. You'll find that repentance has about four different meanings between the Old Testament and the New Testament. Many people make the mistake of always applying one meaning to the word, but we have to let context define the meaning of it with each appearance. I hope that helps, and God bless.

You can slow down the video, touch the screen as if you were trying to paused the video then at the top right corner there is three dots in a vertical line, click on it, then you win see the option to slow the speed.

what about finding joy in a relationship with Jehovah God? That's the real purpose of the Bible.

Jesus Christ is Jehovah God. There is no other name by which men can be saved but through the name of Jesus Christ, and we are saved by grace through faith. "This is what Jehovah says-- Israel's King and Redeemer, Jehovah Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God." (Isaiah 44:6) "And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." (Revelation 1:17-18)

Why all the UMS?

Againw I believe your methods and any method are self-reliant and blocking the Holy Spirit. This is not about our own intelligence but the wisdom that God bestows upon us through humility to hear His revelations through the Holy Spirit who is our teacher. You cannot just appli your uni method to the Word of God that is human and earthly wisdom and pride in doing so. It's insulting to the Holy Spirit IMHO. I was also a literature major and while it has helped me the the Word to know to pay attention to context and that a lot can be read on a metaphorical level as well for various levels of interpretation, I let the Holy Spirit guide and reveal. This is not school/ homework but READING the Word of God and RECIEVING revelation.

There's actually two points the first and the last where do we go to God in prayer. With the feast method. If you know anything about prayer then God speaks to us through the holy Spirit, so I don't understand how the holy spirit is not engaged in the study of the Bible using the feast.

@@mattwojciechowski9799 And if you know anything about the bible you know that spirits are driving these desires due to sin and deliverance is the answer. Then walking in the spirit VS the flesh is how to maintain the deliverance received. Why would people fail this if it worked?

@@mysterygirl30011 exactly only reason people fail is because of ascend problem and that's cuz they're not walking in the spirit as you mentioned earlier. Yes I understand and know the Bible and the Bible it is the main way God talks to me. as far as studying in the Bible. I don't care how you study as long as you're studying and taking something away from it and applying making you better and more like Christ each and every day.

I prefer the famine method. F: fall asleep. A: ask for forgiveness. M: make a coffee. I: interrupt yourself by watching Netflix. N: notice how lame your quiet time is. E: Eat a whole packet of biscuits instead.
