Hey maths was one of the most scary subject for me JUST AN year before and i always used to hesitate to even start practising before exams. This year i wanted to change this and I worked on it every single day practicing minimum 5 questions and which ever concepts were unclear, i would ask the teacher tomorrow. I did the same thing over and over and when i wrote me board exam this year, in math in got 96% and i was very proud of this ☺️. One tip i wanna give you is if you are stuck in a problem and it makes you scared, i want you to recheck the CALCULATION part mainly cuz most of the time, if u have understood to the concept and u know your steps are proper, it will just be common calculation mistakes that would act as an obstacle . I dont understand why do i have to succeed in math, my uncle used to be the best math student in the class yet he's still empty handed, now he struggle to answer maths nowadays, math didnt bring any impact to his life,(neither did hours of study's) it says that the generation after each of us grow, the math gets more and more difficult and complicated. I dont think these extreme difficult maths are necessary for people who dont want to be scientist/doctor/mathematician etc. Because if they are clearly not passionate in something or not interested, they couldn't push it to somewhere. Focusing on something you know or interested in automatically would give you something bcz you enjoy doing it. Either ways, I'm passionate about a lot of things and in fact really good at it, everyone views me as a dumbass just bcz I'm extremely bad at studying. When they dont want to give ma a chance on something I'm good at. For the sake of peoples judgements I have to push my brain to learn something I know I can never bring change with in my life.

Hey! First of all thank you so much for this video. My exams are starting next week, and maths is the last one. Not being cocky, but I'm genuinely not concerned about any other subject other than maths and I've been studying everyday and night, pressuring myself but end up not even being able to solve the problems myself. It feels tricky to me it maybe because I lack the basic concepts of math, 9th grade maths were really tough for me, I still have time and I want to apply these methods to study rather understand everything and not just go all out. Tips: Flashlight mode - one mode is a focused mode and a diffused mode. Use the diffused mode, taking time out. We need to balance the three mode focused, diffused mode and the sleep mode. Working on problems taking breaks in between and sleeping properly. 2. Visualistation: finger perception and visual support are important Draw diagrams and tables 3. Deep practise: Failing and trying again and using different methods. Staying with problems longer and using different methods, making mistakes and fixing them. 4. Exam strageties: Read the most difficult problem first and solve the easy problems. Read every question possible. Do as many steps as possible As you are looking over it, take a different sequence. Apply maths to the real world application. Bonus points: Wolfram alpha for step by step Struggle before seeing the answers. Revise all your mistakes before an exam. Circle the hard questions in your book.

Yes many of us dont know actually how to study.....we think memorizing is studying but it's not....its useful for factual information but not to conceptually learn anything ...i am glad you raised the question....you should try active recall techniques...and watch ali abdaal videos on youtube they are very useful for studying ..all the best

I too use this technique and have a good night sleep of 8 - 9 hours . One day I couldn't sleep and next day was my exam . I didn't sleep and my alarm rang at 5 :00 so without any sleep , I got out of my bed and studied . Don't know how but I got good marks .

According to my experience, Mathematics should be taught in more phylosiphical way just like physics.... i.e why any concept ,any branch of mathematics originated.... and how it solved the problems....and even now how the concept and formulas of mathematics solving the real life problem. Moreover, it should also be taught by using modern technology for example,animation , digitalisation etc. When the students learn the concept through enthusiasm ,then give them problems to solve it and practice it again and again

Diffuse mode is really effective. When you are focused, a lot of times u can't see many things otherwise obvious. This mode and skimming through the exam are good strategies

nah just along the way you forgot something or skipped a topic. repeat that forgetting and skipping and you have some glaring holes in your knowledge. Then you take a math exam. You now hate math. So if you relearn math again at your own pace. It will be easier.

@@lambsauce7809 no its fine!! everyone must have fail once or more in their life. remember that you’re not the only one facing this. try to keep telling yourself to do some maths exercise at least 2-5 pages a day! practice makes everything perfect (but doesn’t have to be so perfect).

Its a good work to help us ive got 100 % in my maths exam 💯

I would just say "thank you" cause nothing more is required when it is from the heart ❤️.

I think one of the best techniques for truly engaging in deep learning is to find the answer yourself and resist the urge to check the solution, if there is a worked solution, it is always better to just read the first line and keep working on it until you get stuck somewhere else then read the solution until the next line you got stuck on and so on. This forces you to properly engage with material and build an intuition for solving, rather than just understanding.

I am very thankful that u are here to give us hints about studying productively! As a MS. Mathematician I can say that i used the several methods u have mentioned, and I got A+ from Physical Mathematics subject last year! I admire your effort to make others more confident about their intelligence, and i will try to be like u in future!🥰

#chetchatters I have got 83% in this math exam. I have to improve my score .I will follow these tips and comment when I get 100%... Tomorrow is the day.. I have followed your tips since a month... I did a trial math test in my home And I got 37/40... I got 83% in the half yearly exams of 80 marks. Tomorrow is a post half yearly exam(periodic assessment 3) for 20 marks.... And just for practice in ratios(which isn't there in the exam tomorrow) If I get 37/40 then tomorrow I will get 18.5/20.... Still I can get better results.. Let's see what I can do.... The exam portion is 1)Algebraic expressions and Identities, 2)Exponents,3)Visualising solid shapes.... Not the easiest but I have to be confident... 😁😁 OK... The results were announced yesterday. Sorry that I am updating now. I got 18/20... Which is 90 %...The problematic part was here:I wrote 6.03 *7 (to the power -5, the exponent symbol isn't there) ...My handwriting is very bad... Like really really bad... My teacher thought that I wrote 6003...And he cut one mark... In the class notebook, sir hadn't pointed to this... ...When I asked him about it, he said that I was trying to start an argument. I cried for 2 hours straight.. I have got past that now. The good news is my marks improved by 7%(which ain't bad) Next time I will try.. Meetcha in April.. AND CHETCHAT, can you please make a video on how to improve HANDWRITING? Please? Hey ,my finals exams are here. The next month. I am studying very hard. The exam portion is very hard. I will get very hard questions in exams. I will get marks according to a very hard marking system. Things are to become very hard.
