Definitely not a joke but as long as you are not standing in its way it is manageable. You definitely will get winded fighting it though.

Request - watched your videos on the rem 870 and mossberg 500 trigger groups. A friend wants to sell his 500 currently, can you give an update on durability? I have an 870 but not a 500. I've heard the disconnect is a weak point but haven't found much info about this online.

I really don't think it is a factor to worry about. They are both good under most circumstances. You would have to check with people who run them like crazy for a better answer.
