I noticed that about the leash. I bought a leash that is from Cesar and I just got it yesterday from Amazon… I walked my dog harness because I was told the harness would be better and she a Siberian husky and she would just pull me like I almost had to run to keep up with her. I had a really really long, long leash. And today I put that leash on her, and I walked her around my house and she walked right with me, which was weird. And then I put it on my little Aussie Doodle Puppy. He’s seven months old and he did the same thing.. I really do believe it’s got to do with the leash he said I’m gonna put them on the leash and try it outside and see how it works out there. I love watching these videos because I really learn lots from them.

Yes! I just got a chow puppy and bought a slip lead. She’s still really young but has been taking to the lead very well! (A leash and collar pair choke her since she needs a lot of space for her fur.) I have friends who own chow chows and try to make me put a harness on her. I’ve met their dogs and they don’t have much control over them and the oldest chow is aggressive to strangers on the harness. You have to get working dogs under control first then you can introduce a job to them. Like pulling things on harness. Keep doing your research and doing what’s best for your pack! No one knows them better than their pet parents!

Common sense tells us the harness is used to PULL THINGS.. especially for huskies .. I don’t like harnesses because a simple soft lead is all that’s needed for total control.

@@juliedawson901 just saw a poor older gentleman at the dog park today, using one of those front legs harness on his 3 yr old male husky no control whatsoever. In cases like this I want so bad to recommend proper lease usage to this man but it’s not my place. Saw them pull up and the husky was doing laps in the backseat, I was like oh boy…no calm submissive state AT ALL. and the dog ended up chasing after every dog in there including mine and they all left. He had nobody to play with..owner was on his phone the whole time smh…

I appreciate the honesty that it's the energy we are projecting and it's not us personally b3cause that can be mentally defeating. It's helpful to see the change comes from us leading our animals which is what they want from us alot like children. No boundaries equals chaos, clear boundaries everyone knows what to do. Thank you for helping people who genuinely care about being the best hope for their animals' well-being .

Yes I think the shorter lead gives more control over the dog. The control reinforces that we are the top dog and they do what we do. Once the dog is in front of you, our presence and our control is diminished to the point of non-existence. Even when walking with a short lead there are times i will pull it in even shorter. It’s worked for us with all our dogs (staffies and schitzu)

Please people, *don’t use a harness OR a flex lead when you’re first walking your dog and training them to stay next to you.* Just don’t. *Use a regular leash.* Then maybe you can make the transition to a harness and if you do train them well, you’ll never need a leash, a harness or a flex lead. They’ll stay right by your side regardless of the distraction.

I feel reason to any dog problem is we behave with dogs the way we usually do with babies or kids like, oh so cute, laughing on their mischievous things etc. when they are puppies. Of course loving and give affection is important and comes naturally when we have a dog but the way should be more like we will do it with teenage or elder people not like with children. And setting some rules or boundaries for their and your good because then it will be easy, happy and fun filled to everyone. This won’t happen immediately but you will see results in no time for sure if you keep doing it because any dog is super fast learner. This all is I think what Cesar has been trying to tell in all his episodes..train humans and rehabilitate dogs 😊

Most of dog behavioral problems are due to lack of respect or discipline. So, he just snaps the dog out of the current tense state of mind and the dog will listen and will wait for the owner to tell him what to do.
