I would also be suspicious of the CDI unit. The cheap units that are sold on ebay as 'racing' CDI tend to have the ignition advance on full. This means that there is full advance at idle and when in the lower rev range. I use a CDI from ooRacing in UK to ensure that I get an appropriate advance curve. You would need to attach a strobe to the engine to check ignition advance through the rev range. Four-strokes tend to have retarded ignition at low revs rising to full advance in the higher rev range. Two strokes tend to advance the ignition as the rev range rises but retard the ignitions at higher revs to prevent seizure.

OOracing are really good and reliable
I'm in U.K. And I had one of the first thumps the 120 ltd fastest pit bike ever had quicker than a lot of the new pit bike brands it won against all of them
You just advanced the timing by moving it down! Which would theoretically make kick back worse! The flywheel spins anti clockwise so moving the sensor clockwise makes it read the signal earlier, aka advancing.

Not in my watching.
I noticed when you tried starting the bike the second time after retarding or advancing the timing you were going past TDC but when you left it stock you didn't go past TDC from what it seemed. If you go past TDC you don't get kickback.
If u know how to kick over a bike that not a problem ( roll kickstart till on decompression stroke ) then kick 😂
T-boltUSA has a performance CDI box that helps stop the kickback on most high compression engines

Just change your camshaft gear using de-comp/decompression camshaft gear to decompress your kick back,it will solve the problem.some racing cdi may have decompress system but u have to search for it online.
I’m low key scared now I’m buying a 140 tomorrow and I’ve never kickstarter a bike before

Where did you get the chain guard inside the engine casing?
I solved the kickback or reduced it by using 98 octane or higher

Same i use 91oct pump gas and mix torco accelerator appropriately to 100oct
Here in the UK you can by Anti-Kickback CDi units.
And I notice that your kicking it properly and it don't kick back obviously lol
I have the thumpstar 125cc and it kicks back but my motor is running good but it’s running very hot. Would that pickup coil not being adjusted right cause it to run hotter?
My pit bike kicks back it really is horrible 😂

@@marvinstarr7550 slowly kick down the starter till it goes stiff then move down 1 click on the stiff click that will have cleared the compression
Is this a tsx160 or a tsr140? Also is this the original engine from factory? Please reply asap,
I have a yx140cc and the kick back is insane it out a hole in my boot they aren’t riding boots but never the less it did put a big hole in the bottom of it how would I fix my 140 from doing this

Bro! I just got a 160 and the kick back was soooo stupid that it broke a tooth on my kick start gear behind the clutch basket and possibly some something on the kick start on the inner case. You gotta start these bikes 1 click past TDC and I didn't know that 😢.
I bought a 190 electric start to save kick back on 140
Any ideas why my top end gets hot really quick?

My 140cc cwr has way too much compression kicks back like mad, ive heard its not good and can cause damage to the engine should i do this? Or shoukd i try altering my mixture first i dunno what could cause it to be so high on a 140

High compression is good! Gives good efficiency, power and shows good piston rings. Get a longer kick start or fit an electric start. The more compression the better, until knock starts to happen. Knock is the fuel igniting by itself due to high compression and this is what OCTANE BOOST is for! The higher the octane level in the fuel means the higher compression it can handle before self igniting (knocking). Running rich also helps to reduce the temperatures under compression and is much healthier for the engine. Watch some KZread videos on how to properly kick start an engine mate.
Mine kick backed into me foot and I had Adidas boosts on never even hurt

A 125cc can do around 53 so 140 easy near 60's

Can go as fast as you want it to go depending on gearing same as a push bike bigger the front cog the more top end smaller more torque rear cog smaller the cog the more top end the bigger the cog the more torque bare in mind front cog 1 tooth equals 2-3 tooth if you was to do rear so say you have 16t front 41t rear & you go 17t front & leave rear that's fine if you wanted the same gear ratio but keep front as 16t you would want to be going for 38-39t rear

Ive still not got mine to full speed to find out lol. Mines just stupid fast its unreal, thats why im here too much compression aswell i think, it legit ripped the bolts out the chain sprocket twice already its got that much power. CWR 140cc. Racing fly wheel, 1/4 turn throttle. Like wtf

I have a wpb 140 and it kicks back not to the point where it hurts just shock and its really annoying because i will be finding tdc abd i will push it down tyen let it click at the bottom then i kick and it kicks me its not that bad its just because ylu put so much power into it and your leg gets tweaked

They load off crap and through all this crap aren't happy to business with anyone I wanted to get one to but ended up just getting a second hand kawasaki 450. They never reply they are always out off stock and I'm not saying these people but all the chineese pit bike dealers I've dealt with have over excessively hard for me on many occasions and been ripped off many occasions. Wouldn't mind finding a trusted pit bike dealer my self hmm mise well open up a franchise myself and sell some pittys get my self a machine 😅 it all comes from China alibaba anyways.

I built a gpx moto crf140 and I’m fourteen and when I Tried to start it it kicked back at me and I was like damn I just wasted 400 bucks on the engine I can’t even run. But hopefully that will fix the problem
