So you’ve been struggling with stuttering? I know the feeling. I know the pain. I struggled with this for many years.
Perhaps you’ve been trying to get better at speaking. Maybe you watched my free workshop, maybe you found some tips online that you found helpful, and yet, when you’re in a higher pressure situation like a job interview or on a date, you feel like all the tips you’ve learned just disappear and you don’t feel like you can access that fluency anymore.
Mateus, a wonderful client of mine, shared his brilliant "SSSH Technique" with me recently and this is a video explaining how to use it when you're in a stressful situation and you feel like you're about to block or stutter.

It’s natural for people to be fearful before the fight. Those who stutter are chronic fighters. Instead of speaking as peacefully with their speech muscles as all ordinary people, every person who stutters is constantly at war with his own speech organ, greatly straining it. Please, understand that each technique (including the on in this video!) always calls for fighting:-( It’s the war with your own mind and body. But the more aggressively a stutterer fights, the more he tenses up = stutters! You just need to stop fighting and start talking like everyone else around you.

YES this is what I’m talking about. Never ever talk in a static position. Always talk in dynamic positions. I’ve learned this in a golf video 😂. It helped me so much to tame my speech blocks

This vid is perfect for me! My current strat is similar to this but for stop I usually say something like "WOAH" or "HOLY COW" then smile and it makes the people I'm talking too kinda laugh which gives me time to rethink my sentences and relieves the pressure. Need to work on the word stretching tho.

@@shalomtheboss6655 well i actually gave up but I'm going to explain why. I watched so many other videos on stuttering and I found a wonderful man who said that stuttering actually has to do with psychological factors. So I checked and I actually don't stutter at all when I'm in a room by myself. I was wondering why. How was that possible. And I realised that when I don't think about my stutter and I am really relaxed, I stutter less and less. So I figured that okay yeah I stutter. But when I don't care about it, it's barely noticeable. So I'n trying to gain more confidence in myself and reduce anxiety. I'm trying not to be fake infront of others and to express my true self

@@erimenti1432 That sounds very nice and awesome and it’s funny you said that you found another person that also mention it but Marcus actually talks about that also in the videos that when you’re by yourself You stutter way less bro sounds very nice About the psychological factor and it’s true, 100%, but at the same time in my personal experience I think it’s still very important to have a speech routine even for just a few months because the tips he gives his videos and the course that I bought for him because practical information how to be your authentic self at the same time as you mentioned before that you want to be a real self and not being A fake person, but bro, I wish you all the best but I highly recommend you should still check out his routine and give it a few more months at the same time using your personal psychological factor because I’ve been battling stuttering the whole life and I totally understand your side, and about his course

Thanks for the video. I have an interiorised stammer so nobody notices it but I DO! I speak fine alone but pressure in work and I just get so stuck and worry what others think, it’s one of the most frustrating things in the world. I stutter from time to time, and it's usually not such a big problem, but I want to become a teacher and I fear that this will make students doubt my ability and my authority... I already work with kids and they do notice it sometimes and it doesn't make me feel bad per say but I fear in a teaching situation it could become more troublesome.
