    Not quite sure why the female Blue Dream shrimp are on their side laying still (other than a few leg movements). Tested the water everything checks out. Water change. Done… They’re being fed, and graze normally. STILL they lay on their side motionless, and I don’t know why!! Help please 🙏

Maybe for a future video you can give some advice to us single tank paupers on how to change the tank when the active substrate is exhausted? Glad to hear you sounding a bit better, hope the Mrs is OK and your daughter is improving with the 'rona. I had 1 rough day but though testing positive, I feel fine.

    I do enjoy this kind of videos. It's more like im there, and I can follow you as you work in all the different tanks. For me at least, I learn more this way, then I would watching a more direkted video to a problem or handling of the aquarium. In this type of video I see all the small things that can easely be lost in a direkted video. Hope you understand what I mean.

    If that tank is 60x30x30 its 54l tank. And you have to count some things like stones, soil filter... They take volume too and it lowers water capacity. So when you say in Bucket is 10 l its 10% or something like that, actually with all soil and stuf its maybe 20% or soo. Numbers are random.

  • @MarksShrimpTanks

    @MarksShrimpTanks

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hello Barb When I had my thyroid removed they also removed 4 small glands called Parathyroid glands and two of mine were damaged so I had issues with calcium uptake for a few weeks after my operation, since then though I have been better but still get very lethargic and overheat fast to the point it feels like I was going to pass out If I stand up from a kneeling position, its almost like my heart would go into overdrive to cope with the pressure or something. doc says I need to drink more water but I was already drinking lots of water, anyhow I eventually stumbled on a condition called pots I am not sure its even a recognized condition but they have a reddit page and they all said electrolytes would help me. So I started taking them one a day and its made a big difference I feel completely normal now . If I am doing a lot of walking one day I might need to take two of them.

    I spent 6 months trying to get my RCS to breed and i finally cracked it. I had around 70 adults in a 35l tank and they werent breeding, but when i halved the population, they started breeding like crazy. Subtrate is fluval stratum, ph 6.5, GH5, KH1, two double sponge filters and theyre fed every day with shrimp king baby food and Bacter AE. I only do a 20% water change every month and top up with RO water every other day. Since moving the majority of them a few week ago, ive counted 31 babies in 3 weeks so i must be doing something right??!! and the shrimp i moved? that tank now has lots of babies too :-D
