How to Stop Seeking Male Validation Part 2.

Ойын-сауық

As human beings, seeking validation and acceptance from others is a natural inclination, especially from those we admire or respect. Women, in particular, often rely on male approval as a measure of their worth and value. Society has conditioned us to believe that our self-esteem is tied to the opinions and attention of men. However, seeking validation from others is not a sustainable or healthy way to build self-esteem.
To break free from this dependency on male validation, it's important to practice self-love and self-care. Take care of your physical, emotional, and mental health by engaging in activities that make you feel good about yourself. Surround yourself with positive influences, and stay away from toxic relationships and environments that make you feel unworthy or undervalued. Focus on your strengths and accomplishments, recognize your own worth and value, and don't let anyone else define it for you. Remember that true validation comes from within. Believe in yourself and trust your own instincts, and you will find that the need for external validation diminishes over time. By doing so, you can build a strong sense of self-worth and confidence without relying on external validation.

I'll tell my daughter some day that validation from a man is like a McDonald's burger: cheap, unhealthy and available everywhere. Genius!

yo.....you are really good omg😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 the mcdonalds hamburger analogy spot on!!! lmfao. making friends and building community yes yes yes!!!! "sometimes youre not craving male validation youre craving kindness!" I say this all the time omg!!!! get a hobby ldkmkfmkfdmfk omg!!!! i made the worst decisions when i was bored (and depressed.) It's hard to get to this place but the key is not giving up and being imaginative. Your inner child/teenager will thank you!!! I’ve been following your IG for the longest and had no idea what you look like. You’re sooo pretty!!! I comment quite a bit on your posts about decentering men. And now that I have done this, I find men very annoying. Lol so at this point, it’s definitely not hard for me to stop seeking their validation because they don’t interest me like they used to.

I can tell you for real that action builds self-confidence. I am still a shy person as I was in high school but in my last 2 years of high school I said that's not what I am going to continue to do (such as not talk to the boys that I like as an example). And I started ACTING the way I wanted. I did that again when I was doing my PhD and had a resident advisor position and had to do a lot more social events. And basically I just did the damn thing. Now when I tell people I AM A SHY PERSON they don't believe. I am still shy but I don't let that stop me and I have developed a lot more self confidence in social situations over the last 20 years.

So glad I found this channel ❤ I practice validation daily by creating daily voice memo diary recordings. Sometimes the act of saying your feelings out loud has a profound effect on you. Even if you don’t listen to them later, it still feels good to get it out safely without judgement 😊

Apologies for the late response, I did not see this comment. I would say that you will have to start building the skill of self-reliance until friends gravitate towards you. When I moved to a new city, I would make everything an adventure and eventually I developed so many connections by just being out. Hope that helps!
