This is an amazing video! Elliot where were you 3 months ago when I needed to hear these words! Your here now and I heard it powerfully! It was my own lack of emotional control that pushed away a woman that I care for and love deeply! I have been putting in the work! I lost discipline and it was my own stubbornness that caused her to leave at a time she needed me to be her pillar! I’ll watch this when I wake in the morning and go to sleep at night.

One thing that is great to ask is “What can I give to this situation?” Those who are addicted to the good feelings are wanting to GET something from the other. When you are honestly GIVING to the situation, job, girlfriend, etc, then you bring something bigger than yourself out of yourself. Or rather, God brings a greater love out of you. pahul79 thats my problem I take everything too seriously, I have no interest in having anything to do with her if she’s not gonna stay because all I want is to find the person I can spend the rest of my life with. I’m doing better now though, I’m just focusing on me and getting where I want to be in my career and hopefully she’ll change later on. we are both 19, I’m mature for my age and know exactly where I’m headed and she’s a typical 19 year old who doesn’t really know what she wants in life yet. I’ve given it all to god, I’ve done my part, she knows how much I love and care for her, god knows and if it’s his will for us than I believe she will change her mind, if not oh well I gave it my best. Sorry for the long reply, I needed to vent.

You are a very wise man, you just organized all my thoughts around my ex. 4 months ago I broke up a 2 year relationship because of this shit. I said we wouldn't have sex just to see her reaction, she got so angry, left while I was explaining the reasons and didn't talk to me for a whole day. Also dont try to help them, just keep tunnel visioning on whats best for you and your long term goals and eventually when they observe you thriving they themselves will come asking for guidance/help without you having to put any effort they will be all ears listening to whatever advise you offer

Ray O Maybe try asking her out for a date? Get dressed up and have a nice night out where you don’t have to talk about serious things. Or go for a hike together and enjoy being outdoors? Do something together to try to build rapport and become closer. Love is an action. You can fall in love and make things better if you lead the way.

5 6 isnt even that small. There are plenty of people below 5 ft. Don't listen to others crap and keep working out. Do compound exersices or basic calisthenics like push up, pull up, dip, squat, leg raise. Also, know that for a relationship, emotional maturity is a lot more important than your size physically. You can build emotional maturity through things like meditation and developing a connection with God
