When I copy and paste a worksheet full of data, the numbers in the original cell is 2-3 (as in a quantity between numbers 2 and 3) mysteriously becomes 44960. The paste action doesn’t make sense. I did exactly what you described above and it changed nothing. I’ve tried guessing other ways to get around it and wind up empty. Any suggestions?

It didn't work for me. It goes back to Date. Excel changes cell format to date and could not solve it. Microsoft should make this a priority instead of going around the world selling covid-19 vaccines
