I have found that others I say no to are genuinely shocked. I have gotten better at it over the years but still find it puzzling when someone persists in trying to get you to Yes. Especially when it concerns things that are not theirs …. like my business.

I feel I hurt someone by saying no. But then I remind my self that all the good friends I have, those friends are the real ones. I say no to jerks. I say no to people I don't trust.

Sometimes, one or two female friends ask to borrow my car. I feel like if that was my girl, then yea, we could talk about something like that, but otherwise, I don't know how I feel about my car just being ready for loan while I'm to work. Deep down, I wanna say yes only because I don't wanna make them feel bad, but I know it doesn't look good just lending the car out to people ESPECIALLY if the person have no license and is under age, or don't work. I may not say "no", but I come up with a story or an excuse, which I guess could be the same thing as saying "no". When I start to feel bad about it, I watch videos like these. I'll do other things for them, but I don't know about the lending out the car situation, and others feel the same about that topic also.

I should've said no when my ex asked for a second chance.

Ugggg! The guilt that comes up feels so bad in my body, but I remind myself that saying no to others is saying yes to myself! Also, most of the times I used to say yes thinking I would be loved, approved and validated . Then I learn that even when I say yes ,if the person asking doesn’t love me, or approved of me to begging with, no “ Yes” is going to make them love me now .

I don’t think it’s a good idea to say let me get back to you because the other person may think that they may h e a chance, especially if you k ow the answer will be no. It’s better to let them know right away so they’re won’t be any false hope
