I was just thinking the exact same thing and then saw your comment.

This was the most enjoyable explanation for a frustrating problem, I am usually screaming and swearing when I try and fix stuff. Can you make a channel and just calmly explain how to fix everything that can break in a house (or yard tools) in the same manner? Would love to subscribe.

John needs to start a KZread channel and just explain how things work, I would subscribe to that. His calm explanations gave me confidence to buy a JTX machine today - Hopefully it will be a great choice.

I was starting to get an inner thigh pain. Chiropractor didn't help. I finally realized my ProFrom elliptical needed lubrication. You take off the bolt with an Allen wrench (Hex tool). Put in a white lithium grease lubrication from a tube. I have had the elliptical 5 years with 5 days a week usage. I had forgotten about the thigh issue and the need for grease from a time before. I need to write it down and put it on the elliptical.

Thanks for this video. I have a Precor EFX 222 Elliptical which has a squeaky sound coming from beneath the LEFT foot pedal. It seems that it has different design than the one you have here. Do you know the possible root cause of this particular squeaky sound? Thanks!

My problem is not so much a squeak but a creak. On the left side and i can feel it under my foot and it's maddening and I have no idea what it could be.

got mine(nordictrack commercial 14.9) today and had assembly team assembled it for me. assembly team was quick to leave the scene before I can test anything by telling me, I should contact support team if I ever run into trouble. but damn, they are right. as soon as I get on and start pedaling, left pedal starts to squeaking. I can pin point the location but I checked all bolts on left pedal and they were tightened up. i am so pissed coz I just dropped $1800 for this and it starts to squeaking from day one. i am 280lbs but and pedal doesn't squeak when pedal it with my hands without getting on elliptical. can my heavy weight causes squeaking noise even though I am 70 lbs under supposedly 350lbs weight limit or there is something wrong with my elliptical?

Can you please advise ? My cross trainer seems to be in a lock position sine the removal men delivered it and I don’t know how to unlock it ? It’s a Nordic 930

I have a Gazelle freestyle Pro and the issues I had when assembled and ran for the first time had squeaks and vibrations and the cure was WD White Lithium Grease Spray after removing the Plastic Caps that are at the handle bar Right and Left posts, noticed they were rubbing the bar tight so used a Dremel Tool and sanded the BAR HOLE in all places of contact and replaced ,now the unit is a quiet as a Church Mouse no NOISE ANYWHERE, WHO HOO'

I pulled my flywheel off cleaned it and all the nuts and bolts and put a silicone oil everywhere to help it glide I put it back together and now all of a sudden it's really hard to Glide I'm not sure what I've done any ideas on how to help it Glide again the machine is very stiff now. I made it worse.

Uhm...you need to replace the bushing..good luck!
