How To Stay Warm When Carp Fishing | Danny Fairbrass

Korda carp angler Danny Fairbrass explains how to stay warm when Winter Carp Fishing.
TAKEN FROM: Masterclass 8 - Winter Masterclass
“Winter is one of my absolute favourite times to go carp fishing. The fish are at their biggest weights and they look amazing as the water clears and they darken up, sporting deep grey and brown shoulders and orangey bellies.” Danny explains at the start of his latest MASTERCLASS 8 Chapter on Winter fishing.
This insightful clip goes through, in detail, exactly how Danny F uses layers to ensure he can fish during the coldest weather all Winter comfortably.
He explains; “I actually enjoy the rawness of the colder months. The long nights and freezing temperatures definitely keep a lot of anglers away, making the lakes much quieter. Those willing to tough it out have less competition and so more opportunity to make the most of the shorter feeding spells.
The edges and tips offered in this video are perfect to use NOW on the bank. Take advantage of the fact we can fish, even if it’s day only, and get out there.
As Danny say’s during his chapter “Winter fishing is not impossible and if you choose the right water and the right approach it can be even more rewarding than the summer.”

I start off with T-shirt and undies. On the bottom I put on a Pair of thin socks then insulated undies then fleece pajama pants then a pair of sweat pants. On the top a thin long sleeve shirt, then insulated shirt, then hoodie. Then top everything off with ice armor jacket and bibs. A pair of lacrosse alpha burly 1000g boots on my feet and I can be outside all day no matter the temps

I no its not great when you arrive and set up for a winter over nighter after having Barrowed your gear to your swim and you end up sweating a bit,but surely its not a great idea having to strip rite down to put your base layer thermals on ?

What happened to putting the actual size on clothing, medium or large or X-Large could be any size. What about using fat Fock or skinny runt as sizes, at least we’d have more of an idea of what to buy online.
