@@helloneighbor11when I lived in Texas my swamp cooler was awesome. Only downside is some things are prone to rust. Now I live in Florida and Swamp coolers don't work. AC is a must but it also comes with a downside. You need a certain level of humidity or things dry out. Your hair dries out, your skin gets dry and itchy, some people experience nose bleeds and some wood furniture develops cracks.

Consistent higher record temperatures over a decade or more and artic glaciers melting at unprecedented rates and increases in storms as well as magnitude of severity is proof of changing climate. Stick your head in a plastic bag while under the sun and see how much hotter you get. Same principle as coating the atmosphere with all these chemicals from environmental pollution which acts as atmospheric insulation that traps hot air from escaping the atmosphere into space during night so the earth can cool down enough to absorb heat from the sun the next day without causing extreme temps from accumulated insulating gases because the daylight temperature starts out at a lower temperature when the previous days heat can escape the bag we live in. Yeah, we know there are variables in weather patterns and extreme heat has occurred for generations, but these events were not followed up by more extreme conditions that became the norm rather than the exception. Believe GOP propagandist on this or qualified scientist. I prefer science over ignorance. I try to keep my head out of the greed motivated GOP crock till you drop bag.

From the Southwest. Get a f'ing grip. You are in the 90s and low 100s. It's been like that since March/April here. The only difference is that it's on the East Coast. It's now migrating back to us. Will you even notice?😂

There's one more measure that's hardly ever mentioned: if you can, have a cold foot bath. Our feet and lower legs play a part in heat regulation. Cooling your feet will contribute to lowering your overall body temperature. It's the same for other animals, for birds it's also their legs and feet, as well as their beaks (certain species have been observed to have begun adapting, or trying to, by developing longer legs and beaks). So if you don't have a pool, like me, most city dwellers and generally most people on Earth, if it gets really hot, cold foot bath, change the water regularly to keep it cool. On top of everything Dr. Gupta recommended.
What you consider a heat wave is a cool summer day to many of us.😂

I live in sc and the weather here from spring to this day has been extremely mild this year . Maybe everyone around me is having high temps but here in upstate sc it has been a really nice year so far and I work outside for a living so I think I would know .
