    I really progressed and love this but I can't stay for more then 30 secs, I try not to waste energy and take a good breath but it doesn't work.

    i’m traveling to curaçao and i forgot my fins at home. i’ve never snorkeled without them. are they a must have? or can i still dive without them?

    Hi @gertleroy , I am still in the early stage of learning to freedive, how could i stay suspended underwater to enjoy the view or take photos, w/o being pulled up to the surface immediately by bouyancy. Thanks a lot! Learned a lot from your videos.

    you can have several waves of diaphragm contractions without any harm other than sore muscles. you should be able to do 3 min no problem. try it on land. if you are scared, make a friend watch you, but usually people are too afraid of contractions to keep holding their breath. do not hyperventilate, do relaxed breathing and then hold for as long as you can. if you don’t hyperventilate you won’t black out. (don’t forget recovery breathing after you held your breath. breathe out a small amount quickly, breathe in quickly, hold for 1 sec, repeat 3x. it restores O2 levels faster than big heavy breaths.)

    try on land. you can have spasms of the diaphragm (contractions) and still not run out of O2. test your capacity step be step in a safe environment (on land or with a capable buddy that knows rescue procedures)

    Been doing CO2 and O2 tables, reached to 3 m 15 sec on O2, but in the water it's hard to remain underwater for even 30 secs

    never breathe out under water. you will lose too much oxygen and not reduce CO2 enough to lower the urge. usually you see air escaping from the mask when the person comes up again because the air in the mask expands

    snorkel is out of the mouth. it's still behind the strap of the mask so it stays next to your head, but the mouthpeace is out. please watch my videos on DUCKDIVE to know more

    If I had some cute women wearing what is practically a thong swimsuit I would try to stay underwater for longer as well keep in mind if I do not move and I oxygen pack I can stay underwater for 14 minutes and 30 seconds

    NO actual how to tips here? "kick the fins in the most efficient way possible" - ok - what is that? What's the higher levels of CO2 got to do with not running out of oxygen? How do you not duck dive? How do you use your energy in the best way? How do you glide through the water? Aaaaarrrrrgh!!! One of those horribly frustrating YT vids that tell you nothing to do with the title.

    no. a choke cuts off blood stream. you can pass out in as little as 7 seconds because the brain is not getting new blood and thus oxygen.
