How to stay focused on studying when you don’t feel like it

Before I work/study, usually I tell myself “Ok Aldrich, time to get into the zone.” After that, I consider the flow triggers, and then get to it. No friction. Just start. Don’t overthink it. Just start. It’s about getting the ball rolling. The first step is usually the hardest step.

Thank you so much for this video! I actually started sixth form recently and omg I have found myself not motivated to do any work, and I'd just do the work last minute out of fear and risk of the possible consequences. Your channel is a godsend bro thank you so much. Gonna implement flow into my life and start getting my life on track, u the goat bro thanks a lot.

Hi Aldrich, I’m currently in year 12 doing a level maths and I’m determined to get an A/A* and I’m thinking of going into any engineering. Got any tips?

A lot of the maths you’re going to do in Uni as an engineering student will be incredibly similar to A-level maths. A-level maths is just a stepping stone. My tips: make sure you understand trig, differentiation, and integration very well. Also, make sure you’re putting at least 4 hours of maths revision per week, every week, on top of your lessons. Finally, have a friend who has the same ambition as you. Work together, and motivate each other👌

In your case, time management is KEY! Create a routine where you’re working after school and during your free-periods. Time blocking can be useful, or having a to-do list (which works best for me). I’d also recommend giving yourself some positive reinforcement along the way :)

It is you know🤣🤣 I did yeah! I tried to get it out of the way before January before the pressure starts to build up more. I was lucky to have insanely helpful teachers tho. Wouldn’t have been able to finish without them🥵
