How to Stay Cool in Extreme Heat - Ancient Strategies

The future will be hot under climate change. Suffering under a heat dome, I explain how preppers can look at history to find ways to survive extreme heat. Lifestyle changes, clothing, and passive building designs can all be used to lower the temperatures of our bodies and make heat waves more tolerable without having to rely on air conditioners or the power grid.

Evaporative cooling is pretty legit. When gathering hay in the mid summer we used to pipe some water from a trough so it ran a trickle over some burlap out in the middle of a paddock. Under the burlap were our beers. They were nice and cold!

Climate bs for the past couple years in the Midwest we haven’t got extreme summer s like in the 100 or above in the 90s there were way hotter summers even the ac broke and you had to bare the heat and humidity. Plus the climate is always changing since the ice age

“Climate change” isn’t the same thing as saying “greenhouse gasses” and “global warming.” I’ve lived in Wisconsin and Texas and now I’m in Illinois, the winters in the north the last few years has been so much tamer than any time in my entire life (I’m about to be 30 in July) and I been building a fat azz garden wink wink and boy that sun feel like Texas lol it is what it is. It’s not a reason to handicap the economy when innovation is the best solution to these things, but it’s also okay to acknowledge “yo it’s hot af lately, here’s some shit you can do about it for yourself” lol
