I am so proud of you and your personal development and career! I can remember those good old days with maya when you guys just started with fashion. Now youre here having your own brand! Started from the bottom now we here! :)

im going to be a freshman in highschool and I have been wanting to be in fashion design since I was 3 or 4 years old. I took classes to learn to sew and art classes to learn how to draw out my ideas. I decided its time for me to truly start my business early to get a head start. This video really helped me to understand the things I need to work on to make my dream finally come true. thank you!

Love how much your channel has shifted to creating more meaningful and more inspiring fashion videos as opposed to just monthly favorites and lookbooks (although those are great, too!!) really appreciate the effort you put into your videos!

It's terrifying to try to start your own business so it seems a little more possible after watching you. Ooo one question I have is- how much does it cost to start? Understand that it differ depending on the business model but rough numbers for each step you described would be super helpful.

Really depends on the scale of your concept/item/sampling/production/shipping etc! You can start a business with just one item and invest $1000-2000, or do a multiple pieces or an entire collection up to $50000 or more. Use what you got and are willing to invest, and work your way up!

I loved this! I'm hoping to go to Fashion Design school next year and I've always wanted to have my own brand for petite woman because I struggle to find clothing for me that fits that is my style. I'm 4 10. So starting my own brand that caters only to petite woman would be great! I knew there's a lot to starting a clothing brands but not this much. This helped me be more aware as to what to expect. Thanks!

Julia u choose vertical integration, right? it means you do everything in house from beginning till the emd. does vertical integration makes the final product more expensive for you, and also the customer? i mean if you did it with samples, it would come out cheaper right? I Love what you do! ❤️I see many people are interested, so it would be nice if you made a playlist of more "bussiness" related videos.

For doing everything independently, I managed to make smart choices so I could keep prices reasonable and still be ethical. If I would have outsourced sampling, website development and other design costs it’d been way more expensive! Thank you ❤️ I’ll try to do my best
